im gonna let these girls/boys grow to a foot and then use them for clones, you guys think it will matter that i have them in one 6 inch pot since im just using them for clones then prob will kill the plant after

Sounds like an ignorant move imo...Have they even sprouted yet? To clone you want to mothers to grow a little bit. IMO if 5 of thos seeds sprout they will be way to overcrowded.

When/If they sprout, put them in their own cup small pot...

They will entangle their roots together way too much and choke...

word, they all sprounted, prob will just put 2 in each cup, ive done 2 before and it worked out well, thinking about doing this kind of as a experiment

when is the perfect time to clone them?

How and when will you separate the boys from the girls?
By the time you know which is which, they will be all tangled up and you won't be able to separate them.

Where did you get the idea to plant more that one seed in a pot. That is disaster waiting to happen:wall:

like i said, ive done it one other time, im just going to grow them in soil for like 1 month and then im tossing them in the aerogarden
And you will most likely damage the roots, thus killing the plants, when you go to dig them up for the transplant. Even if you manage to get all the sprouts out, after a months time their roots will probably be tangled with eachother. That's one reason plants should get seperate containers.

are you retarded, when you clone into the aerogarden, it has nothing to do with roots, you just cut off a part of the plant and then stick it in the aerogarden

Yeah I must be retarded because I've never heard of growing a plant, clone or not, without roots being involved!

i put wayyyyyy too much time effort and money to bother getting cheap when it comes to buying an extra pot and some dirt. that is 1 a waste of seeds and 2 a disaster wating to happen. what if one is a male and one is a female, what if one has an issue they both will because of proximity or that they will root tangle and strangle each other out...probably one will kill off the other. one will be tiny one will grow. get another bucket man.

i dont have room for more than one plant in a 5 gallon pot. one uses all the space there is. i tie down my plants, and chop the tops..every time i dont chopp im dissapointed.

So you don't have a bunch of cups to put them each in their own?

and when you split them you'll just rip the shit out of their root system to re-pot them thus causing extreme amounts of stress?

and what happens if you get a male and a female in the same cup? you'll just grow them together and pollinate all the plants? or rip them out and kill the male?

personally... i think this is a bad idea. your original post said 'is this a bad idea?' not 'this is an experiment' therefore the answer to the question is 'yes. it's a bad idea!'

you won't even be able to use them for clones and then kill them because they wont get big enough since their roots will just be too crowded to even grow (and why not grow the right way and then use the clones as clones). I mean really you're making it twice as hard on yourself here. and I can already tell you your experiment will fail miserably. Why not grow em and clone them? Win Win!
