Don't use the round PVC pipes. Use 4" PVC fence posts instead. Trust me on this!Skink,
Have you had problems with using the round drain pipes 4" or what ever size with water spraying out from the holes that are cut out for the net pots?
I'm making this type of system and after drilling the 2" hole and putting in the net pot I notice that the net pot will rock back about 16 or 8th of an " and was wondering if water will spray out from this.
Peace-
Hey skink,Don't use the round PVC pipes. Use 4" PVC fence posts instead. Trust me on this!
I haven't had any problems with spray coming out of the net areas. The net pots have plastic that extends down before turning into a net. That combined with the lip on the net pot keeps the water from spraying out.
Now I get it. I thought you were talking about the fence posts.Hey skink,
I didn't like the way that the net pot sat on the round drain pipe and didn't want to take a chance, so I went and got the 4" square with caps.
Peace-
Using the square fence post, don't you use 1/2" pvc for the sprayers? Now I get it. I thought you were talking about the fence posts.
Good move going to square fence posts!
The first system I bought had 2" round pipes inserted into the 4" round tube. Way too much work! Not to mention you have to deal with the pipes wanting to roll. Don't forget there is no room to run sprayers inside the pipe so you have to use external hoses (leaks).
This is a case were being square is cool...
I also put a Tee with end caps on the very end of the pipe to keep the pipe off the bottom of the trough.Using the square fence post, don't you use 1/2" pvc for the sprayers?
That goes into the square fence post.
I use an 18 gal reservior. (Rubbermaid container)just a few quick questions for you Stinkbud. First you dont mention how much water you mix with you nutrient solution (cloner , veg, flower). I know you run at 2900 PPMs but a rough estimate would be much appreciated.
I use the same formula for veg as I do for bloom just because it's easy and works really well. I only veg for 3 weeks. My problem is under state law I have to keep my veg plants under 12" high or they count as adults. I can only have 6 adult plants per patient. My veg plant might grow more if I used the grow fomula but in my case that wouldn't help me.second do you run the bloom formula through all three cycles or do you use the grow formula also.
I run 5.8 but if you're off a little it's no big deal. A cheap $7 test kit will work just fine.Do you Ph your solution? I think I read that your running 5.8 or so but you say you dont worry about Ph as long as your running 2900 PPMs.
I haven't found any programed timers. That would be a lot better in my opinion. Also to be sure your timers are running 1 min on 4 off so a pre programed timer should work or is a adjustable timer preferred?
I use pump filter bags. They cost about $10. Just stick your pump into the bag and never worry about a clogged pump again.I am attempting to recreate your master piece with some O.G. clones. Have the cloner built. Using 400 GPH pumps. Do you ever have a problem with sprayer or pump clogging if so how do you prevent it.
The only thing I'm a master at is baiting hooksSorry for so many questions but want to get this right and you seem to be the master of this subject.
You have to realize that I am running a perpetual harvest. If I harvested the whole room at once I would pull down over 3 lbs per harvest. That's actually pretty good for a small 7x8 closet.I saw earlier in the journal that you are getting 1-2oz per plant. With 2000w and 6 weeks of rooting/veg time, don't you think that you should be pulling more than that? I'm obviously not bad mouthing you at ALL. Your grow is pretty much exactly how I want mine to be if I could. I was just putting the numbers together and thought you could get more than that. Maybe cuz they are so close together?
You would need to veg longer than three weeks to get 4oz. per plant.Very nice. Can you help me out w/my room? So if I have 4 aerosystems, with 4 plants in each, vegging for 3 weeks w/ big bud I was thinking that I could pull 4oz or more off of each plant? Using liquid cooled 1000w hps on a light mover and a pretty good greenthumb + Advanced nutrients. Am I being realistic? just right? or underachieving? Thanks 4 your help and your journal.
My Blueberry trich are turning amber at 9 weeks. The AK47's are mostly cloudy (with a chance of rain).Look's Good StinkBud!!!
Hey, What % Are You Harvesting Your Trich.'s????
& What Does That Calculate In Day's Under 12/12??
