Hey couldnt find many answers on this but here we go. Has anyone taken clones off the actual manifold? Example, I create my manifold for 8 heads, grow them out 10 -15" then cut all 8 heads for clones. I ask because I have 10 of a specific strain but im only running 9 of them. I do not have the space to mother it either. So i figured i would run all 10, and cut the clones off one of them before i switch to 12/12. Im seeking extremely perportionate clones so i can manifold them out while the other 9 are in flower. If you have tried this, did you run into any problems? And would the cuttings be "to old" at this point?
Thank you

If they are still in veg you will be fine. When the stem gets woody it is harder to clone the cuttings but it isn't impossible. I have just put them straight in soil and shaded them for a few days and then I treat them the same as when they were on the plant. I have only lost a couple using this method. Plants want to survive.

Hey Mo,
He could lightly scrape the outside of the stem. But it is not easy.

When you get a chance stop by and take a look, got some interesting shit going on.

I meant to do this back in October but i couldnt find my camera. These pictures are in no specific order, basicly just the last 2-3 weeks before harvest.

This was my mars hydro soil run. An experiment to prove a few of my friends that you can pump out some nice yields with cheap lights.
Pulled 574g in a 5x5 area w/ 2each 600W Mars (old model) and 1 300w Mars Hydro (also old model). I can definatly assure anybody on a budget, you can get both quality and quantity without selling your soul for lights. total for all 3 lights was 350$. I do recommend a ventalation system, but you should have one of those anyway :fire:. Cheers.

allot bigger cage with 2 months left or even stack them 2 high. looking great regardless. I been bending mine which is kinda mainlining. I get around 32-42 tops. but I don't veg mine that long as the indoors. I need to try that outdoors this summer.

this is my first time growing outdoors, as i was indoor and mainlining my girls to 8 colas with some awesome results.. outdoors has been a blast, as i created my own organic soil, and have only been watering them straight water and they’ve boomed since seedling stage..
the hardest part was digging the 4’x4’x4’ hole in the ground thru rock hard clay..
gonna up my grow area to 8 plants outdoors next season..

So where does the water go when it rains, is the existing soil porous enough to allow the hole to drain or does is sit in wet soil for extended periods.
If the latar is the case you may want to buy large grow bags and set them on some form of grid to allow for drainage. Not on bare ground as that will slow drainage also. Them plants would burst if you had them in bags.
They do look great. Good job my friend!

ps, I would love to grow in a 100 gallon smart pot in coco outdoors. MY of MY :)

Fabric pots will allow allot more air into the roots and explode them plants in growth. a bag of lava rock in bottom of each air pot will insure water doesn't sit in bottom of fabric pots.you can then add 1-2 inch of gravel under each fabric pot. Never use wood pallets as is breeds mold. Where I grow outside I have enough trees/bushes ect so even after a heavy rain for a few days my ladies do great. I have put them in the ground with good results but fabric pots blow the ground ones away. Just some of my 2 cents.

were in the middle of summer over here, so not too much rain, when it does i just dont water them as much.. the girls are planted into a layered soil that i make up,
which is
- bottom layer of pea straw 4” thick
- then a perlite, coco coir, organic compost, sheep manure, cow manure, chicken manure, gypsum mix with a couple other ingredients..
- layer of pea straw
- layer of soil mix
- layer of pea straw and lucerne hay
- layer of soil mix
- layer of lucerne hay
- layer of soil mix
- top layer is pea straw and lucerne hay..

im pretty sure the layers of would cause air pockets for the roots and the perlite/coco coir came from all my indoor grows which i usually keep to reuse as it holds minor nutrients after flushing which has been perfect for germinating seeds in.

That sounds great. I think you got this.

cheers mate..
over winter i want to plant peas and beans over each plot to build up the N and organic matter so i can keep reusing each plot each summer..
Do you have access to EM1, you may want to check it out, would be a good additive to your organic areas.

heck yeah

na i dont think i can get it over here in Aus. will have a better look later, but seen some info on how to make your own...
its a sugar rice water that makes myco/bennies. you can do it anywhere. hit youtube and watch videos on EM1. Its a start to organic feeding then its fermented fruits/veggies. welcome to organic. my world where I live and thrive. best tasting buds around with most kick. you got this learn at your own pace. some of us are a few steps ahead of you but we all started somewhere and you doing good.
