Yea i know i used to use a daily planner as my journal cuase it has calander and conversion charts lolView attachment 4075124
Single best thing I do with every grow
The nutes I use say Ionic on them.I
Those are some good looking roots, i think your res is fine!
Although the plants look a little yellow... What nutes are you using? Don't you think 500ppm is a little low?
You seem to be adding lots of stuff to make your PH change... Maybe adding more nutes would help keep the PH within a workable range.
For example this is how i setup my res after a wash:
Tap water: 100 PPM @ 7.0 PH
+ Nutes (maxigro) until EC = 1.1 and PH is about ~5.6
+ Some cal mag (just a tiny bit)
+ a bit of recharge because it keeps my roots from dying
At the end it'll end up with a PH of around 5.8-6.0, but then i won't touch the res again for at least 2 weeks!
Maybe... But it sounds a little counter intuitive to me as plants seem to grow better the more stable the system is, and usually stress when i get PH fluctuations.
Best bet keep it in the 6 range as best you can. I would be running them at about 550 ppm at min are you using any thing like great white, or re charge or any thing that? Environment is key to a successful and trouble free grow. After that it's smooth sailing. I was running veg+bloom I changed out my res now it's mega crop until harvest time. I love one part powder nutrients versus the multi bottle thingThe nutes I use say Ionic on them.
These 3 went into the system on Dec 25th each on their 3rd set of leaves from seed. I had the ppm up to 800 before they started looking bad. Thought I was burning them so I diluted it by about half.
Dunno why my roots aren't fuller. But I think it has to do with my RDWC pulling on them all the time; gonna put the pump on a timer.
So I guess the verdict is keep the pH around 6 and keep the temperature under control..
Good advice! a while back i was using a bunch of stuff to get some sort of RDWC monstrosity that worked for a while and suddenly didn't. Now it's just maxigro (or maxibloom), recharge, & cal-mag here and there, and it makes it so much easier and reliable. Checked my PH today and it's running 6.3, with the plants looking great!Best bet keep it in the 6 range as best you can. Looked into it and Im gonna run a sterile res.Best bet keep it in the 6 range as best you can. Whichever you feel comfortable running. It varies from person to person. Me since I don’t run a chiller to keep my water cool (even though my temps stay low) I like running beneficial bacteria’s and build the cultures up. My water in my system before swapping to mega crop stays clear as when I put it in.Looked into it and Im gonna run a sterile res.
Mega crop has bennies in it already just another thing that makes it great.Right now im riding the edge
The system above is constanly @72f
Not sterile
NO bennies that i added anyways might be in the product using RAW grow.and bloom.
4-5 ish weeks, no funk
But im switching to salt based nutes and will probably do a blech regimen with them (i want some WHITE roots lol)
The nutes look black but the water is clear by the next morning
Ok well Ive been looking into it more and I think Im gonna start to go the benny route....or at least start with Recharge.Whichever you feel comfortable running. It varies from person to person. Im ordering the chem gro first.Mega crop has bennies in it already just another thing that makes it great.
It just seems like a lot and a lot of $$ for the ingredients. Im def gonna get the recharge...or something similar that is cheaper.I know i dont.like brewing teas in my rdwc
Jk
. Lmao. Sorry i couldnt help it
a lot for which one?It just seems like a lot and a lot of $$ for the ingredients. Im def gonna get the recharge...or something similar that is cheaper.

Just curious about the lids on your brutes...how they holding up? Will they hold big plants without caving in? I'm about to spring for a couple 10 gallon size cans but the lids are keeping me from pulling the trigger.Im using 10 gallon brutes.
Im trying low water levels at 20 gals but it can hold about 30 plus gal without fear of getting too bulgy lolView attachment 4075133
Just gave them a light haircut lastnight
I don't know why I never thought to use a planner... I have a word document where I note everything worth remembering. If I didn't keep notes I wouldn't even remember when I start flowering. It's happened before, where I find myself scrolling through pictures trying to find one I took around that time..Yea i know i used to use a daily planner as my journal cuase it has calander and conversion charts lol
But i fell off the wagon
Im going to get another planner today
