hi guys

newbie here

OK here goes. this is my first grow, i started to grow 8 plants in soil, they were growing well but painstakingly slow. so after a bit of research i decided to make a bubbleponics system. i made one with six pots.

i was worried about transplanting since id never done anything like this before.
i gently removed the plants from the soil trying to do the least damage to the roots.

then i put them in the net pots with the new medium and into the system, the pots sit about 1/4 inch into the nutrient solution.

its been 3 days since transplant. they haven't grew much but at least there still alive.

i was just looking for advice and tips to see if i am on the right path. mainly for how deep the pots should be in the solution.

any help welcome guys.

your water level should be 10 mm below the net pots
also later on you may have to transplant them again as the bucket is to small for 6 plants growing 1-3 in per day

As long as you are not using rockwool, you could have the nutrient level higher if you want. But you are fine.

Your plants havent wilted,so I guess your roots are nesting in,maybe thats why they dont look to be growing.

If you dont let the plants over grow, that system will do you fine throughout the grow.

well put. if you are growing big fat single stem colas and induce onset after great roots have formed youll be money. trust me i play a doctor on tv

you need air between the water level and net pots thats why its called bubbleponics
but each to there own
also as its your first hydro grow a ppm + ph meter is a must

Thats bullshit, you dont need air between the water level and net pots. Its called bubbleponics cause theres constant air pumped to the nutrients though an air pump to air stones or defusier. To give the roots oxygen.

Bubbleponics aka DWC or Deep Water Culture.

LOL

Your WRONG.

Your right, constant air pumped in to the nutrients thus, giving roots oxygen.

BUT

Your wrong, You need to have atleast a 1in air space between the pots and the water once you have roots have popped thru. The tiny lil bubbles that are popping will splash nutes to the exposed roots and the medium your growing in.

You need to go and do so homework before you start busting peoples balls.

Are you just using hydroron? Or do you also have the plants in R/W surrounded by pellets?

The reason I ask, If your using RW and the pellets, where is the RW located? More towards the top? If so, thats fine to have in the water at first. Once you show more roots Id drop that level until you have atleast 1in of air space.

You dont want to soak that RW at all. As Ive learned the hard way.

If you new to the DWC, Ill tell you from experience, Keep that res cool brother!!!! Also make damn sure you have NO FUCKIN light in that res. High Temps and Light = brown goo. Which also leads to root rot! Again something Ive learned the hard way, and just lost a batch of plants. :wall:

Ill be watching. Im still a nub myself, but Ive learned a shitload in the last two months.

First of Mr. Info, you must be as dumb as Bifta.

Bubbleponics aka DWC or Deep Water Culture.
Yes,how does that make me wrong?I said,"Its called bubbleponics cause theres constant air pumped to the nutrients though an air pump to air stones or defusier. To give the roots oxygen"

Where did you get this info that...
You need to have atleast a 1in air space between the pots and the water once you have roots have popped thru. The tiny lil bubbles that are popping will splash nutes to the exposed roots and the medium your growing in.
Can YOU link me to a site that states this for a fact?

Now,Mr.Info you need to go and do so homework before you start busting peoples balls

Last off,why do you guys persist that i have to show a grow?I am growing,do i have to prove it?
