Lighting Question

Hey guys ive just been browsing online but I cant for the life of me get any more specs than this for these lights and it doesn't seem to tell me what I need to know :/ can anyone tell me if thesed be any good for growing (Obviously at least 2 of them would be needed lol)

150w Nelson Floodlight I believe it was, but it doesn't even say light type as far as I can tell :/ that ones only 17 bucks so a couple of thosed be cheap

Yeah dude definaltely avoid that, I’d say stick with cfls for seedling and veg stages, 6400k they are cheap as, just one or two 40w will do for now and for flower maybe hps, wattage depends how many your growing, I swear by cfl for seedling and veg stages!! Good luck dude.

150 watt hps kit is like 60 bucks. Could get a couple good plants under one.

yeah I got a good fluoro setup at least I thought it was good all up about 200w of light but the plant doesn't seem to be budding very well I'm gunna keep the fluoros for vegging cause youre right there they do bloody brilliant for vegging but I'm trying to get an idea of better lights for budding, those were just a couple I could find (apart from this here in the brackets, I hit post reply on this yesterday, came back today and it was still in the writing section WTF lol)

I did ask about HPS at Bunnings, no one there had ever even heard of it. it stands for high pressure sodium right? (If not don't laugh at me, laugh at the fucker that told me that lol)

If you wait 5 minutes for this massive catalogue pdf to load up, and search for that bulb's model "MP38CL"
You get "150W single portable floodlight PAR38 with clamp IP44 black" and it's listed under "Incandescant floodlights".
That's about the worst lighting tech you could use, incandescents. Very inefficient, bad spectrum, mostly heat.

nah I'm in Oz, Bunnings is our main big warehouse chain they sell lights fixtures fittings gardening shit electricals everything, they are a huge corporation, id be surprised if there aren't ANY in the states

You get "150W single portable floodlight PAR38 with clamp IP44 black" and it's listed under "Incandescant floodlights".

Yeah! That's perfect.
Magnetic ballasts can't be dimmed, but there's no worry about them interfering with data cables and arising suspicion. I prefer magnetic over digital ballasts for that reason, peace of mind.
