Control mites

Hey,

The missis came up with an idea about controlling mights when spraying the fuck out of them may not be a option.....

1. To help control mights, she came up with the idea of getting a fresh plant the mites would like and put it in the grow room with the chronic plants.

2. Leave it for a while(so mites jump onto the plant), then take that fresh plant outside and drench the shit out of it (with ornamental plant mite killer).

3. Wait a week or 2, drench the shit out of it again then back in the grow room again the next day for a day/night then out again.

Theres more to it but to keep it short, thats the base of the idea.

Would this work?!

You dont really want to invite them in at all to be honest.

What i do personally although i have slipped a bit on t his lately.
Cleanliness cleanliness cleanliness.

Clean your grow room thoroughly, make sure its all nice and clear.

Get some need oil.

Make a neem solution, spray it all round your grow room on the ceiling on the walls everywhere

Have a neem dipping solution for your young seedlings/clones, dip the whole plant in.

Hmm, it sounds plausible, even sensible. Give the misses a pat on the back for the idea.

Well I like this idea for outdoor growers, But I would say put it a couple feet away from your plants. For inside, yeh I would just do as greenthumb said and just take steps prior to growing so that you dont get them. But for outdoor grows, its kinda hard to clean the whole forest im growing in : )

Does anyone know a plant that mites like better then cannabis? Maybe coke plant? some other drug plants lol? They seem a bit like drugies to me.

haha yeah I rekon mites are natures lil stoners.

Yeah the idea is more for indoor growing when you already have mites and its to close to harvest to spray them.

that idea with the need oil isn't bad, as well make life unpleasant in your grow for miles, so let the humidity be above 30-40% and the temps a bit lower, which alone will rise the humidity a bit, and those lil pests won't feels as much home anymore and cut down their reproduction rate. and then it is easier to wipe them out:D

I wouldnt do anything to invite them in, you want to prevent them being anywhere near your plants
...right, but what you gone do if they are once, that i guess is the good old question starting this here;)
and getting them in is damn easy, soil and stuff, clones from a different grow, yourself constantly going in and out... its an endless list anyway.

Once there in your gonna have to bug blast or cover the room in neem or whatever, best not letting them in the first place, just take as much precaution as you can

Yeah this idea the missus came up with is for those who already have mite infesations and are in the late stages of flowering. (where spraying the plants might not be a good idea)

It might help control the mites, hmm gotta find me some neem oil.
