We've all seen them - memes that make no sense but you know that the people posting them are eating them up regardless. We've all heard Hannity and Limbaugh make fallacious arguments one after the other. We've all watched FOX as they twist facts to suit themselves resulting in completely moronic narratives. And finally, we have all seen our President get up in front of cheering crowds and make an ass of himself by stumbling through words that mean nothing and getting standing ovations from the idiots in his fan-base.

Even here, we are beset by seemingly endless Alt-Right users who make ridiculous claims that their posts "make sense" or "score points" or are "logical" when they can hardly construct a coherent sentence let alone a logical argument.

Yes, they are stupid - but can they be cured? Is this just a huge public health issue that can be redressed by increased education? Or are stronger methods required to ensure that our democracy will survive?

I disagree. There are a great number of special interests, many of them very well funded, who deliberately stir the pot and advance extreme and divisive views, very often for personal gain.

Yup, its beneficial for them to stir the pot and spread their propaganda. If people decided not enjoying being told what they should think/ stop giving them attention lots of them would find something else to do.

Yes and yes.

Prevention remains simpler, cheaper and provides valuable additional benefits.

Just say no to bigotry.
What about a national "Sacrifice Zone"? We could create an area out of nonpreforming states and heavily fortify the border where they could create their own reality and live their lives out in a way that will not harm others. We could give this area protectorate status so they will not be a detriment to the rest of us in our political process.

Have you ever seen "Escape From New York"? But bigger and swampier.

I think Texas might be worth keeping. We could herd them north into Oklahoma and Arkansas. That way we can protect Mexico from their influence and random gunfire while also allowing Mexican emigres a path to help make up for the drop in population. The economic benefits of no longer paying for the alt-right can provide funds for training and education of the new citizens.

It is critical to make the zone fully within the borders of the US given their propensity to allow in hostile foreign influences.

I think Texas would be the best place to bus them though. Appalachian states is good land for growing.
