6th week flowering - heavy buds - how to prop up?

My 3 girls are heading into their 6th week flowering.. and from the looks of it, 2 of them might not be able to support the next 3 weeks when they thicken up even more.

I dont want to stick anything into the soil, so my question is, what do you use/do to keep your girls upright? I dont want to wake up and god forbid i find a snapped branch b/c of the weight.

:peace:

Oh you poor thing! If only I felt sorry for you. :-P Can you make a cage out of, say, wire fencing that you can then tie off the branches as you need?

Hahaha.. I feel sorry for me too bongsmilie

I guess that could work.. I have string, but if I decide to pull some of those branches in, they're going to be completely covered by the canopy and not get any light.. decisions decisions...

I just use some 50' twist-tie line and cut it to fit, then tie the buds to something nearby (a staple in the side of the cabinet, whatever). Super cost-effective. ;)

Tomato Cages! Cheap, Lots of room for big buds, and Highly effective. They stick in the soil but around the edges of the pot so no root damage, and if you were really worried you couild easily tape it around the outside of the pot.

I would recommend just buying a set, use them for all your plants before flowering.

Lolly pop them. You trim all the bottom buds and put tomato caged on them. It produces bigger dense buds up top

Lollipopping should be done at the start of flowering, but I dont think he has any problems with buds being too small or he probably wouldnt have made this post

I wasn't thinking so much of pulling them through the wire as you just being able to create kind of a... I guess kind of a scaffolding system that allows them to keep growing. I can't figure out how to describe it, though. shit.

trust me your not going to hurt the roots if you put a couple bamboo sticks in the soil and then tie branches loosely to the bamboo.

not sure what its called but its netting with 6inch gaps, if your from the uk then go to B&Q not sure about the rest of the world, I would have thought it comes under garden netting, the kind of thing you would use for runner beans and peas.....

it would be easier to stick some bambo rods in, like forthetaste said it wouldnt hurt the plant
