Can I plant my autos seedlings directly in the ground with no added medium just some nutes on occasion will they grow fine I live in Kentucky
 
It's best if you amend the soil with some compost or something. I have my auto's outside for about a month now and they doing great. I'm also using Mega Crop on them. Grew about an inch since yesterday.

Should I put a lil potting mix with the ground soil or cow manure ?
 
It's really hit and miss planting directly into native soil. IMO I'd get a bag of good soil to back fill your hole, or just plant in a pot. Especially with autos because there is no room for error. Native soil can be very dense and compact. At the very least you should add lots of perlite. GL

I'd honestly just spend a few bucks on some good soil.
 
+1 on at least backfilling with good soil.
If you plan on using same area again and again i would build your native soil as needed.

I grow mostly in ground. I get bulk soil from a nursery and mix it with it with native soil. 3 parts mix to 1 part native soil. Plenty of companies also make soil conditioner to mix with native soil. I have also used Dr. Earths potting mix this way with success as well. Make sure you ph it after you mix. If you can, add beneficial microbes and check after a few days. If your ph was high, this should bring it down a little. Either way you should add them if you can. If that's not enough to get your ph around 6.5 add LIGHT amounts of soil sulfur to the top and water it in. That should set you up for a nice grow.
 
I would dig I nice hole and mix in some light potting mix. Depends how good your native soil is though honestly, but I would do 50/50 ratio
 
Last summer I put a bunch of autos out in the garden, some planted in pots, some directly in the ground. Most of the fragile babies in the ground were either trampled by our cats or eaten by slugs (or something). So the second set I sprouted indoors and transplanted out when they were a little sturdier, and they all lived and were fine.
 
No auto experience, but I've dug lots of holes. This year I have way too many plants, so I'm digging smaller holes in hopes of growing smaller plants. Here is what one of my holes looks like. About two gallons of my soil mix in a three gallon hole.

Last week when I was doing my rounds with neem oil and the stinky stuff, I sprayed the sulfur smelling stuff on the plant and the neem on the bushes nearby. I realized what I had done, and washed as much of it off with the neem as I could. Still had some burn on the leaves when I checked them yesterday.
