Just a little help needed 're fan and filter

Hi people, I need a little advice as I am a n00b.

I am starting up with:
A 70cm x 70cm x 160cm (2.3ft x 2.3ft x 5.3ft) tent.
A mars hydro LED 300watt light (Compare to HPS/MH/HID: 150 watt)

I am looking to grow 2-3 ladies

My query is regarding fan and filter. I know a 4" fan and filter is adequate, but my question is:

Is there any benefit of getting a 5" fan and filter setup? Or would this be too much for the size of tent that I have? I am looking to purchase the following, just want to know whether it's better to go for the 5" rather than 4"?:

Black Orchid Rhino Hobby Kit
Kit Includes -
Rhino Hobby (Choice of size)
Black Orchid Axial Flo Fan (Choice of Size)
Silver Aluminium Ducting 5m
3 x Jubilee Ducting Clips
Black Orchid EcoDuct Fan

4 Inch 100mm Axial-Flo Fan - 105m3/h
5 Inch 125mm Axial-Flo Fan - 185m3/h

Thank you in advance to anyone who can advise me.

Kind regards

Thank you for your replies. I will go with the 4" for now and if I decide to get a bigger tent in the future I will review.
It looks like the kit only contains one fan so I believe I will have to invest in a second of the same fan to use as an air intake. Please correct me if this is incorrect?

And thank you again

No intake fan needed for passive exhaust, also might need a fan controller so sides of tent don't suck inward making the sqft even smaller.

Did you already buy the mars LED? If not buy a white LED like a quantum board kit.

Ah cheers for your input booms.

I will look into a fan controller if needs be once up and running.

I have already purchased the mars LED (was £130 for light and tent together) what are the benefits of a white LED quantum board over what I have bought?

Sorry for what may be seen as dumb questions, indoor first timer here as fed up of getting mould in greenhouse due to shitty UK autumn weather..

Are your lights purple? (blurples?)

Quantum Boards/ Cobs > Blurples. (Check out the LED section for more information on them!)

If you get a controller, only get a Brand Name one. Don't want a fire hazard! (Certain brand models, usually more expensive, have controllers built in.)

Eh.. I've run my intake maybe a handful of times, I run it passively now so no I don't use one is what I'm saying

And you definitely want a fan controller, some come with them built in

Plug it in and see purple... those a Blurples. :)

You shouldn't worry to much over it really. The main difference is quality, light penetration, Par, Lumen output, etc. However in your size tent, with one-two-three girls, you'll be alright.

Now..now... let's not blame the weather (Unless you are growing outdoors). If you're indoors.. Get a bigger exhaust fan, get a fan for better air circulation, get a dehumidifier to control the humidity.

Save you're money and just run one fan. This will make you're tent Negative Pressure - which will also help with odour control.
If you add a second fan for intake, you may not have a Negative Pressure room if it is not the right size/speed. Unless you have the 2x2 tent in a closed 2x2 closet with no air circulation, a passive intake should be just fine.

I've only plugged it in the once to check not faulty and what I remember was bright white light and no way I was gonna look directly at the lights for fear of going blind ha.. will aim to set everything up in the next few days.. than you ever so much for your input, Monster.

Weather has been to blame for mould the last two seasons where I was growing in a greenhouse... hence reason for turning to an indoor setup where I can control the environment better.. I appreciate the advice you have provided me with though

Amazon shows purple.

I would not look into lights directly. Sunglasses are nice for a grow room.
Ah yeah it does. I guess I'll live and learn ha. Once I start to get the hang of indoor grows and gain more knowledge I will look to invest a higher amount into a future setup. Just wanting to start small and relatively cheap for the time being. Again, thank you :)
