I'm setting up a 5 x3 x 6 grow tent. Should the ventilation system run 24/7 or set on a timer running in
intervals?

You can set it on a timer while veging as not much smell but once you start to flower you need it on constant and it has to create negative pressure in the tent for the filter to do its job (it'll sick the sides in)
