Imo,....Not for seedlings or younger plants but it might be possible for a heavy feeding large mature plant. I would think that there would be too many readily available nutrients for seedlings and such

Pure compost can be too "hot" for even mature plants. Always best to mix it and if needed add nutes later on.

Honestly that’s what I was thinking too, but I didn’t want to completely rain on the parade ha. But yea I think most will say it would be way to hot. By “hot,” they means heavy on the nutes

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping it would work cause I can get it for $25 a yard, but since it probably won't I'll keep looking.
