Transporting to larger pots before topping?

hey quick question here. I’ve got 4 x plants total (3 x blue dream and 1 x amnesia haze) at about 3 1/2 weeks veg under 600W LED in soil. I am planning on topping these plants at the 6th node to help create SOG. However I currently have them in standard 1 gallon plastic flower pots and as I am fairly new to growing I am not 100% sure if I should transfer the plants to the 5 gallon smart pots (I am planning on finishing them in) BEFORE I top them? Or should I top them now while they are in the #1 pots and then transfer them to their final #5 smart pots in a few days? The problem is that I’m not sure they are quite ready to transfer yet. Take a look at pics from this morning and let me know what you guys think...

Top, heal, transplant - thank you - that’s what I was thinking too - better to make sure plants are totally strong-stemmed and ready before transporting.

As far as SOG vs. ScOG I was actually just planning on using topping and some LST to get them to spread out into more of a canopy and increase my colas. I’ve never done this method before, but my plan is to top at the 6th node today and then wait for them to heal, transfer and then top the two resulting growths again and probably tie down. I need to increase yields and only have the one 600W led right now.

How long would you say does it typically take to fully heal a healthy plant after topping (at the 6th node)? Also is there anything you give the plant to promote quicker/better healing?

Two weeks is the recommended time for plant to grow the new tops to a sufficient size, topping again would require a further two weeks etc. Of the same tops that is
