The excitation threshold seems low these days ... Must be due to the weather!
I recommend you to order a 5$ Sonoff timer. They are wireless controlled by an app called ewelink. The only thing they need is a router for internet access and a smartphone/tablet or other mobile running the app. It has a 10A relay built-in and minute-precise timers, loop timers, schedules and so on. Perfect for pumps and other things with short on cycles!
You can also pair several Sonoff's so they switch at the same time and a few other things like share settings. I currently use them in both of my lamps and they work well so far(around 4 month now). However, the good thing about them is that they keep their programming also without Internet connection.
You can get Sonoff's in lot's of different variations from single, dual to quad channels, with temp/humidity display and abillity to control fans, AC's or heaters. Even as Sonoff POW which among other things measures your power consumption.

To get enough light from 4 diodes I would use a small 6-12 driver with 300 or 600mA. (3 or 6w)
Because it's not easy to find a good one so small I've decided to use at least 6 Cree XP-E far-red diodes( for ~12v) and a cheap 5w generic e3ay driver with 10-18v/300mA.(1,50$, for 5x 1w).
These cheap thingys are of course not comparable to Meanwell drivers in terms of durability and effiency, but I hope he lasts a while, since I use only 60% of its capabillities. So either he holds longer or if not ..... I bought already three, lol!
Effiency does not matter so much in the 5-10w range we are talking about and the quantity of far red light can be easily controlled by the length of radiation cycles.
The thing which matters most IMO, is a good spread so that all plants received the same amount of light.
But's that's easily doable for a small squared area like yours.
I hope the minds have calmed down again and that answers your questions.

I just ordered these to supplement my 4 yo BML SPYDR 600 during flower
I probably only have 3 weeks left, so not sure how much it will help with this grow. Anybody using them? Should they be on throughout the light cycle?

They are purchased from alibaba and some may not be real lm561c s6. In f aact, I'm pretty sure they aren't. Another member purchased some and they weren't legit, not to mention hes selling a 3 strip kit on a cooking sheet as a heatsink...

Because it's blue and deepred it can run the whole day with the mainlight. The used Prolight diodes are not bad but no one knows which binnings are used in the end. Their claim, they would be better as Cree sounds like bullshit!
The datasheet below are their "crimsons" and it shows the better Q and R binnings are not ready yet and therefor not available. Only "P" bin is orderable!
The problem with this shop owner is he also claims to use LM561c S6 bin on the white solstrips, but in fact it is only LM561b or even older ... Who knows? True is it's not LM561c and this is visible to the naked eye!
If a trader, despite better knowledge, sells items that do not match the description, he is simply untrustworthy.
For that reason, I do not trust him ... also with these stripes at least until I see sphere tests.
It is possible that the R bin is meanwhile available ... maybe they are actually installed ... who knows?
But hey, they shine and they do what they should ... maybe not as efficient as claimed, because it's only the P bin, but that should not matter the plants.

Thanks, keep in mind these will be used as supplemental lights and are driven by a Meanwell 100. The sole purpose is to enhance flowering potential of my chosen spectrum 2014 BML SPYDR 600, which I slighted myself on the 630-660 spectrums. And @ $145, it seems like it should last and pay for itself many times over. You don't always need a Ferrari to bring home the bacon
Moreover, the 2 strips will be easy to hang, and fit nicely between the SPYDR bars
