OMG I try, I talked to my wall the other day it understood better than they do. I don't get it! You lay facts out, they say "Fake, False, Made up". Trumpism has become a religion, and I'm not anti-religion if its peaceful and tolerant, but a religion by definition needs no facts, its based on beliefs and that is what they have done to the GOTP (Grand Old Trump Party-name had to be adjusted). They have no issue with his changing positions and theirs just change with him and its no problem in their eyes. This just isn't how we have worked in the past, it's new and scary. Converting people from one religion to another is no easy process as it's not fact-based and deals more with emotions, feelings, and beliefs. They have figured out how to insulate themselves from needing fact, reason, compromise, etc. That is going to make it far more difficult to bring sanity back, to make the GOTP the GOP again...
They have created a new Fundamentalist Religion where absolute adherence to the Leader is the cost of admission. Look at Goudy, poster child of the neo-cons for years... He calls the Prez out a time or two on the facts (while still supporting his policies) and he is insta-black sheep of the GOTP... They are conditioning the politicians and sheep that only 100% allegiance will do. We are Americans for God's sake we aren't subjects of a crown!!! Even within our own camps we have always had internal arguments and such. This is not normal, this is not right!
