Pistils browning WAY too early

Can anyone tell.me why these are browning up at like 4 weeks flowering if that? You can't really see the pistils but it's clear how small it is right, I'm finding at least 35-50% of them have turned. I tried checking the trikes but my 30x loupe seems too weak I can make out the mushrooms but i can't tell if they are clear or cloudy :/1528179130593-1586873826.jpg

I've read that it can be due to the plant getting pollinated. Have you checked for herm flowers? I say this because I noticed brown pistils under 4 weeks and the research I did pointed to pollination...a week or two later I noticed seed sacks on that plant. She had indeed been pollinated.

I'll check but I usually spot any signs of males/hermies pretty quick :) it is cold overnight now it's winter, bout 2-3c on a bad night could that be doing it? I just thought cold stunted them a bit

Are the pistils just changing color or are they changing color and falling off? I.E; dying?

Just changing colour by the look, they are wispy a bit but definitely not shrivelled or dying
I have to agree with ANC then. Probably normal for the strain. You should get a better scope, they sell them really cheap on Amazon and they hook right on to your phone, so you can take pictures. If you harvest based off the amount of orange/brown/red hairs there are, you might be harvesting at the wrong time. The most accurate and agreed upon method is A: Matter of preference and B: When the trichs have reached the ripeness that you prefer. If you go based off hairs alone, that's just winging it. Now, if you had grown this strain out a handful of times and had a lot of experience with this strain, I wouldn't say that. But for a new strain that you aren't experienced with, going by the hairs, I wouldn't advise.

It's possible the temperature change shocked it, I've read about heat stress causing this, but not cold. Thing is, it's much more often a grower is dealing with heat issues...

As far as bud size goes, I think you mentioned in another comment, don't take this the wrong way, but it is, after all, bagseed :D She looks good too, from what I can tell! I feel like it's an unwritten rule that if you're going to grow bagseed, this is par for the course. Even if you know the strain of the bud you got it from, chances are you don't know what pollinated it.

I understand your concern, but I say keep an extra eye on her and let her do her thing. Not long now until you're growing something else anyway. If the bud you got that seed from was good enough that you went out of your way to grow it, then I'm sure it will be worth it.

Yeah im not sure if the loupe is too weak or if I just have shitty eyes/really shaky hands, I cant ever get a steady view which doesnt help. But hopefully you are right, its not showing any actual signs of stress, nice and green, I just was getting worried cause while I get pistils aren't a reliable method, if you've got 80%+ browned its a safe bet its ready lol and like I said shes getting close to 50 when shes at LEAST a month away still.

A good windy day or heavy abusive rain will maul some hairs in my experience. Indoors, I'd guess pollination.

I'm harvesting 2 WW tomorrow at 59 days ( on 12/12 )....both plants had lots of red hairs at 4 weeks and "looking" like the buds were ripening too fast. That was false !! You must be very patient. You can't harvest by hairs....although some opinions tell you that you can !! Regardless of what % of red hairs you see...Only trich's will tell you the status of the THC and harvest time.. I feel a 30x loop is the minimum power needed to evaluate the trichome development . The red hairs curling up and turning dark brown plus receding is usually an indication the buds are maturing and the caylex's are filling up with THC.. Not likely that harvest is coming up that quickly for you.
I'm sure everything is cool....relax and enjoy the grow !!

Peace & Puff
