WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld President Donald Trump’s ban on travel from several mostly Muslim countries, rejecting a challenge that it discriminated against Muslims or exceeded his authority.

The 5-4 decision Tuesday is the court’s first substantive ruling on a Trump administration policy.

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion, joined by his four conservative colleagues.

Roberts wrote that presidents have substantial power to regulate immigration. He also rejected the challengers’ claim of anti-Muslim bias.

Unbelievable.
Actually totally believable since Trump appointed Gorsuch, that madman, to his position on the Supreme Court.
In the dissenting viewpoint,Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote that based on the evidence in the case "a reasonable observer would conclude that the Proclamation was motivated by anti-Muslim animus." (ya think?)
She said her colleagues arrived at the opposite result by "ignoring the facts, misconstruing our legal precedent, and turning a blind eye to the pain and suffering the Proclamation inflicts upon countless families and individuals, many of whom are United States citizens." (who really gives a shit what is moral anymore)
So Trump gets his ban, and shows the entire world, again, what a POS nation the USA has become.
The Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves I think.

Fuck Trump

Merrick Garland. We are spineless and allowed the GOP their pretend rules. We get what e deserve for not objecting. See what happens when we are NOT involved?

We cannot expect the person in the Oval Office any longer to care about it's nation's peoples.

Yes, elections do have consequences. SCOTUS decisions is one of them.
I tried to ex[plain this to one of @schuylaar twin and the response was
Stop n frisk is not coming back, Roe v Wade ain't getting over turned.. Relax, smoke a bowl n enjoy life...this country survived George Bush, Trump will feel like a Swedish massage compared to 8 years of that retard.

To be fair, Scalia would have voted the same way. Biggest mistake ever.

To be fair, that seat BELONGED to US. WE LET THEM TAKE IT.

To be fair, the Democratic nomination BELONGED to SANDERS. WE LET HRC TAKE IT.

because he ran third party back in the 70s and it was a disaster- he lost. i believe he thinks it would be bad luck. he's wrestling with this and that's why DNC already changed their rules to lock him out.
He ran as a Democrat in 2016 and it was a disaster then too. He lost by 12% margin.

The DNC hasn't locked him out. As in 2016, Democratic Party rules say you must be registered as a Democrat if you want to run for the Democratic Party's nomination. Is this so hard for you to understand?

That said, I'm all for locking out Independents from selecting the Democratic Party's nominees. I'm thinking a person must be registered as a Democrat one year before the primary. Independents should run their own candidates for office.
