Not Sure What Happened?

2 days ago on 1 lower branch it started to wilt and now is even worse. It looks lack of water, but just on 1 branch?
Can't find any insects or damage of any kind, and the rest of the plant looks fine.
Anyone have any ideas what could have caused this?
The only thing I've done lately is to stake the plants with bamboo about 5 days ago.

If you're 100% positive it isn't pests, such as a borer...

What are your roots like?
Is the fabric pot soggy, or wet continuously towards the bottom?
Ph of your soil?
Any feeds? Ec?

When I stake my girls that have been in large pots I like to stay away from the main stem so I don't destroy a bunch of big roots coming off the main stem. If it's not a boring pest I wouldn't be surprised if the staking did it, not likely but possible. If your not in flower just remove that tiny sick branch. sick dead leafs will attract pests if you don't have any now.

Roots are ok
I water roughly 2 gal per pot, then wait till they are dry and light. Pots are 7 gal.
Soil PH is 7

Stop.giving ig water for a few days..might be root rot..i know it looks like it needs water.. Gooduck
