help me with my setup...

I currently have 2 grow tents both 2x4x5. I want to do scrog grows in each one. I know that the best thing would probably be to have clones and put like 4 or 6 clones of the same thing in each tent but I really wanted to try growing a couple strains. I Have some RQS Ice and G13 labs blueberry gum 2 I want to grow... I also have some Blackberry OG on the way as well as Marley's Cheese. So I am hoping to do 2 tents with 2 strains in each tent. each in its own 2x2 scrog. how many plants should i need? 1 plant per 2x2 scrog? Also any other suggestions are welcome

What size pots you plan on using? Far as giving each one a screen I think your on point with that and should do pretty good.

1 plant per 2x2 net works great.

But just a tip, start with the right screen. 2.5 inch squares - 3inch squares. Don't buy one of those silly string things on amazon that are only good for support nets.

Too many people try and scrog half assed these days. Done right it can help produce some serious weight.

I understand 2x2 to be the ideal canopy space per plant. Individual screens make plant separation and control much easier when tucking, trimming and training thru the screen. Don’t make holes too small, need space to train them under and through. Don’t make them too big or they won’t support your taller buds. Important to make sure leaves don’t cover bud sights! The goal is to lose no light and to fill the canopy evenly.

Know how they grow- put the types of plants together in a tent that grow similarly. You’re creating a flat canopy for even light exposure to bud sights. You don’t want one plant doing the Sativa stretch up to the lights and spreading foliage over your shorter growers.

i have not decided yet. i was open to suggestions. i was considering smart pots. i grew outside in smart pots and did pretty well another year. to start i will be using seeds. id like to eventually try my hand at taking clones from my topping cuts.

i was planning on building a wooden frame out of 1x pine and using actual wire scrog from home depot.

this is going to be a little harder. i am pretty sure the marley cheese is going to be a little more sativa. I will have 1 tent that has 1 big light and another tent that has 2 smaller lights. i could grow my least similar plants in the tent with 2 separate lights. i grew ice before but it was outside... i grew blueberry gum before outside also but it was humid and wet and it did not make it. it smelled amazing though. that is why im giving it a try indoors.

i have never done a scrog grow before. my only indoor grow was my first grow and that was a couple purple ryder autos. I'll never buy autos again... the smoke sucked. super weak.

Read up on topping and LST, necessary for Scrog grows.

Remember the plant will grow into the wire if you use wire. Also at time for harvest it’s easier if you can just snip thru string. A lot harder with wire.

I made mine from 1”pvc and elbow connectors. Super cheap. I just put eye hooks every 2.5” and thread string thru them into an easy-snip grid. Twine, wire stuff like that will damage plants.

Do some training to your plants young kids teach them to grow horizontally rather than vertically. It’ll be easy to train them thru a screen then. Make the flip when he screen is 60-75% full. The plant will double or even triple in size from veg to flower.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I didn't know the wire would hurt the plants. I can do the string and eyelet thing as you discribed. It sounds very easy. I have read up on topping and LST pleanty... Also super cropping. I have topped outdoor plants as well as used some super cropping... This will be the first time I can put all this into use indoors on a scrog grow. I am very excited. I still need to get a carbon filter and inline fan... I was going to buy them initially as a kit. I also am not sure about temps... I'll have to wait and see how things go.
