Greenhouse Height Issue Please Help!

Hi guys, first time doing this kinda thing, i think I’m in a little over my head here could use some help.

It seems I way underestimated growth rate for the space I have available, a 15’x40’x7.5’ Quonset style greenhouse..for 12x100gal. Smart pots. The pic was taken a couple weeks ago. I’ve trellised both sides horizontally and vertically to create an aisle down the center and have been bending, tucking, twisting, clipping, pruning and ultimately preparing for the inevitability that these things are most likely going to get out of control regardless of what I do.

I’m debating throwing caution to the wind and taking off the polyfilm and letting them go wild but security is a concern and would prefer to find a way to maintain use of the circulation and exhaust to cut down on risks of pests and mold. I just ordered more trellis to start another tier but it feels futile, I’ll snap a couple more pics before I do..Just hoping someone might have some ideas or reassurance on which route to take.

I’m running as much growth as I can towards the center, although there’s barely any space on the sides closest to the walls for any type of maneuvering...I’m more concerned that branches will become unmanageable on the sides which could lead me to mold issues. I’m out there every other day training and pruning, thinking there’s gotta be another way lol

That's a possibility we're looking at..that or adding taller sidewall posts for the frame to sit into. Lotta work but I think we could swing it if all else fails. Another idea we had: Peeling the top section of poly but building a rudimentary frame over it that can be retrofitted to maintain protection from the elements.

u could remove poly cut side wall post add two feet with some coupling, then re poly

Some are starting to show preflowers, mostly just the indicas that haven't required much training.

Put up netting over them and supercrop them at net level. Problem solved, you can do this until the flower weight starts naturally pulling them down.

Thanks man, this is something I needed to hear.

Perhaps I’m being a bit overcritical of the situation given my experience. I’ll tellya, it was a tough pill to swallow initially taking a pair of shears to my girls but they look a lot better now that I did, more uniform and manageable at least.

Might like to consider lollipopping them way up like this. Thats all those little branches taking the energy from the tops and maine line stems. I dont deal with alot of popcorn buds this way.nice vids on youtube about lollipopping and pruning back.

I find myself comparing everyone else plants to mine, and often feeling as if I'm not doing enough, or if I could just do this one more thing, or two more things. Then I can sit back and enjoy what I've created. Meanwhile I could have been enjoy the process the whole time.

I've also learned to stop and sit and listen.

I had the disadvantage of training these girls late so my canopy is a bit higher but I went to town on the lollipopping and added another tier of trellis to try and train any branches that get too close to the plastic. Hoping that should do it!

I can relate man, it’s in my nature. I’ll have an issue, go down the Google fu rabbit hole and end up with more questions than I started with lol think I’m going to adopt a similar mantra and just stop and smell the cannabis. I mean, there’s worse problems to have right?
