Newbie on RIU. 2nd outdoor grow

Holy Grail Kush fem, Crystal Blue reg, gorilla glue auto. 20gal pots with half roots organic 707 mix and half great lakes only(local michigander supposedly won some cannabis cup using it, supposed to be a water only super soil of sorts) started hgk and cb about mid april, moved outdoors 2nd week of june. Gg(5gal) started beginning of june after i found out i had some males in the bunch. Never pH'd water, just boiling to remove some chlorine etc.. Roots organic 2-2-3 and RO calmag about half strength 2 times this year getting ready for a 3rd. Earth Juice 0-50-30 pk booster this time as well. Have a couple running indoors but thats another category. Sorry for the lengthy post just putting out my setup.

Feel free to chime in with any suggestions or questions (:20180801_171043.jpg 20180801_171120.jpg

Had 2 in the ground last year...i have to raise my yard a few inches next summer because it floods along the fenceline..right where they get the most sun. This way i can move them into the sun as the day goes by. Bigger pots would be a plus tho

Didnt know they had one..had a good experience with barneys critical kush last yr. Almost a half lb off a plant smaller than the hgk and CB. Feel free to post pics or whatever

Ill have to keep you updated with my caregivers grow(mid michigan. Im in metro detroit.), hes about 68 yrs old, starts them inside about beginning april. Nothing but composted manure. We end up with 1.5-2 lbs a plant. gets you through the roof but tastes like earth and dirt lmfao. This year im gonna put some EarthJuice 0-50-30 on the field to try and bring out the flavors and cure it in giant mason jars instead of the big plastic totes. I want to grow monsters like yours and we have tractors money etc but hes skeptical of a young buck taking over his operation... Gotta teach this old dog some new tricks guys. Will post some pics when i go up there in a week or 2

8 1080p cameras cover every corner of swims house and like i said if anyone does know, its neighbors being nosy. Rule #1 never expose yourself. Thats why swim LST'd to keepthem far below privacy fence

Are you sure you got that from barneys? I Google it to see what it's about and I could only find 1 other company that has something similar (grail 69) and then went to barneys Web site and found nothing. DNA genetics out of Colorado is the one who bread and made the HGK. So let me know.
As far as the taste and such..... that could be for several reasons but I'm guessing it is the way he cures it. Either that or he isn't letting the roots hit the natural soil because it needs the minerals for a good terpene profile. The plant needs more then just the manure....In fact it needs more added then super soil because it is not dirt.
Earth juice is good but if you are growing organic and you amend your soil you won't need a 50/30 pk. ...that high can burn your plants. Organics do not need that high. I have used the e.j. bloom and it works very well and you can feed that as often as you like with no burning. (Just a suggestion)
Don't try to put him out in the field to pasture just yet. It is true that growers of today can probably outgrow yesteryears growers because of technology and it being legal for the most part and we can learn from each other etc etc.... but I do notice that many newer growers think that they have to have this designer dirt, or 7 step ridiculously expensive nutrient line to grow weed. Growers of today who have never farmed or grew a garden have been basically brainwashed....and I bet he can outgrow most in here. He is correct in the growing in manure...but he HAS to amend it because it is not enough on its own.

Okay I'm done with my rant....lol sorry I just woke up lol

Yea it is DNA sorry about that..and what do you mean by amending soil? we tilled the soil 4 ft deep with some good looking black soil along with the manure and a little lime. Said hes been doing it that way for years..puts em out and lets em go, no problem gettin 7-8 footers. And this year like i said im going to buy the nice big mason jars, humidipaks and whatever to get a good cure.

Kinda what I thought....
Okay so manure is good but lacks much. The average npk for steer manure is .05/.05/.05 which is lacking on every level.
Now can one grow big plants in almost any medium?? Yes....but so what? If the plant is lacking in the npk and the macros and micros it needs then it will not produce what it has the potential to.

You have to treat manure just like any organic soil and add to it.
I amend mine with Epsoma garden tone dry nutes, along with happy bulb frog food and Epsom salts. AFTER that I just feed teas.
And a good for instance is my friend planted a bag seed in a 5 gallon pail of manure. It grew okay for the first month and a half... He was too cheap to buy any nutes so I brought some of my left overs and top dressed his soil. It literally in every way possible tripled in size in less then 2 weeks and is now a freaking beast. His plant was STARVING.

so with that all said and done you do not have to believe me .... but I hope you finish watching my grow. It may change your mind.

P.s. here is another shot of my gf standing between 3.
the plant behind her is one of the grails (can't get a full plant shot but it is by far the tallest and widest plants I have...If that gives you any idea lol)2018-08-01 11.14.23.jpg
