“I am thrilled to announce that in the second quarter of this year, the U.S. Economy grew at the amazing rate of 4.1%!”

Any comments, is he correct?
As correct as can be on the day of the announcement. Plenty examples exist where numbers were revised later.

I'm not going to slam any president for the economy when the economy truly gets better under their watch, like it did under Obama. It's just that one quarter at that rate isn't a trend setter. We've had plenty of quarterly numbers that were virtually the same as this one and 2014 was much better.

I don't hear Republicans crowing over these stats:

2009, Q4, 3.9%
2010 Q2, 3.9%
2011 Q4, 4.6%
2013 Q4, 4%
2014, Q2, 4.9%
2014, Q3, 5.2%

Just chock it up to a convergence of luck and an already growing economy. His tax cut for corporations did temporarily help increase GDP. Most economists don't think it's sustainable.

Were they full time jobs or part time/casual jobs?
Is America seeing a huge decrease in full time jobs in preference to part time and casual? We are seeing that trend here and its led to wants called Under employment. Does make the jobs numbers look good though...

Apple reached stock market valuation of 1 Trillion Dollars.

The Huawei ban in the US market worked for something.....

If you guys don't know- Huawei produces low-cost, low-spec smartphones - except the P series which are lower cost than higher end LG, Samsung, Iphones.... yet have very competitive specs.... the P9 and P10 have some of the best cameras in the smartphone game....

The Huawei Echo is an approx $70-100 dollar smartphone that'll run Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp fairly well, the camera sucks, doesn't have any internal memory so you have to get an SD card.... one of them comes with the Dual Sim Option, which is great for people who run one line for work and one line for personal...

Nothing like some free-market conservative republican government intervention and market interventionism to really get accross that small government, laizes-faire philosophy......

The stock market is higher now than it has been EVER.

Why do people believe that the market should never fall? How will wealth redistributed if the stock market isn't allowed to naturally redistributed wealth through he rise and fall of markets? Hoe do you figure markets could correct themselves if shareholding wasn't allowed? How will people buy stock if markets never fluctuate? How will companies ever afford to operate with negative profits in times of consumer pull back?

I understand the opposing ideological point of views. I don't understand their practices.

Apple isn't the stock market.
The stock market isn't the economy. Still, the stock market isn't at an all time high. Volatility is.

The smart money has been taking profits and putting it on the sidelines. Investors -- the real ones not schmoes like you and me -- are parking their money for Trump's recession to hit.

Pumping money into a growing economy by borrowing is only going to make the up coming recession worse. High inflation isn't expected, high unemployment is.

But I just know what I read.

Craigslist will have all the best deals soon. Cash money for homes cause rates are gonna go up but the houses will sell cheap!

More rents for later.

The tweeter in chief said he made hay from the last recession and likes them.

Camera Specs on the P10

HUAWEI P10's Leica Dual Camera 2.0 carries two SUMMARIT-H lenses with an F2.2 aperture. The result: 4K shooting, 20 MP + 12 MP sensors, Optical Image Stabilisation, Superior low-light photography. When you see the world more clearly, you see how beautiful it is.

their processors are proprietary - I think they are called Kirin made by a subsidiary of Huawei... the echo and other small ones don't really have much in the way of 'power' -

but the P10 which is a bit of their 'high end' phone has a 2.4GHZ and I think 4GB Ram with internal 64GB on their 'mid-range' model....

I know somebody that bought a P9 Lite and it worked great at first. The biggest issue is their batteries and screens.

You would expect a higher end phone to have a battery with at least 2-3 good years but the P9 Lite bat in about 10 months began to degrade significantly. the touchscreen quit working too - they just took it to one of their service places and they gave us a refurbished one without paying a single cent in 'deposit' or 'insurance' or anything - the warranty was SOLID. The phone hada few scratches from use and you could tell one corner had been involved in a fall or bump of some kind - they still replaced it.

Until Huawei figures out their battery situation they'll stay a smaller player in the game. Their 'rolls royce' is only about $100USD cheaper than a similar Samsung S series phone - but with a much MUCH better camera. However samsung does have a much better screen and battery....

In terms of the mid-range phones you find on the market... there's nobody offering a better looking, and better performing alternative right now for lower priced options....

For example - a Mate 10 - with these specs:

Kirin 659 Octa-Core 4xCortex-A53 2.36GHz + 4xCortex-A53 1.7GHz

4 GB RAM 64 GB Memoria Interna

2 front facing cameras (13MP front) and 2 rear facing cameras 16MP rear anda 5.9 inch FHD display - Retail brand new costs around $280 bucks with full factory warranty, which like I said, is pretty excellent... at least here where I am at.....
