630w CMH for my 4 x 4 flowering? Currently running cheap Growlush 600w ballast- seems to work OK)
Im liking the spectrum of the CMH and the results seems pretty good. Less heat may suit me over summer.

I know a few of you have been researching lights lately and im crap at understanding all the whizbang tecko jargon.
What's the pros and cons with the 630 over 600w HPS and 1000w of HPS?
You thought of the quantum boards? Or too pricey? I’m really liking mine soo far... time will tell tho

You’re a stud ruby there’s no denying it!!

Some more pressing issues at hand here lol!

A wooden panel the size of a door blew over in the wind and flat squashed one of the girls. I heard it hours ago but thought the noise was from the back so went to check and couldn’t see anything so forgot about it. Went to hang clothes out front just before to see the board square over the top of the pot.

Fingers crossed we’ll see what happens now cos the repaired branches were torn from the main stem minimum 2.5-3hrs.

They will be fine I learnt that this year :)
For extra strength u could get something under the branch like a water diviner shape and stick it in the soil to hold the branch up like a two pronged for style ?

I should have mentioned too that the first pic is the main stem completely snapped at the bottom. Definitely going to be interesting to see if she survives. And if she does I bet it’ll be the best out of all them
The one that did break off completely for me I gave to my mate for clones..

4 out of 12 broken ground I have put dishes over the others just to give them that nudge... I think by morning there should some more... I will have to do that next time I just rushed things abit last night.... I wish I could take time I just don’t want to teach the little fella too much too soon
I soak them for 24 hours then I get 2 sheets of paper towel doubled over and wet them and then squeeze most of the water out so that when you squeeze them again only a couple of drops come out, then fold in half put that on a plate, seeds on the paper then fold the paper over the seeds and Drip a little water over them and put another plate over the top. Once they open and the tails start straightening out I plant them into the smaller jiffy pellets and leave them in the dark for 24 then they go under the T-5’s

thats what im running right now. no complaints. biggest advantage over 600w HPS is higher PAR and better spectrum for better terps and resin production. you will notice a difference in the quality of flower over HPS its not massive but it is there.. dont expect much difference in heat or yield though. as for a 1000w in my experience you would be going backwards trying to run 1000w in a 4x4. i ran 1000w in a 5 x 5 and it was just too hot. even with a big 250mm fan pulling air through the tent and a seperate 150mm fan pulling air through cool hood.

LED's are a really good option too i reckon. my next light set up i buy will be LED strips i think because you can actually build a set up pretty cheap with strips

I’m only using 3x600w De HPS at the moment because I’m only using 2.4 x 2m of the 2.4x2.4 tent and I feel like I get welders flash if I don’t wear sunnies when I’m in there and they aren’t in boost yet but it gets real hot real quick if you move the A/C and forget to turn it back on lol.
I’d have a look at the 630 DE Sunplix and Hi Par have put out they definitely look the business

$740 price will come down as they are pretty new on the market but I bet anything grown with that light would be frost central

For the led guys in the know
Neighbour wants to know if he got a viperspectra 600w to grow autos under what size tent is best ?
And if he wanted to switch to one photo under it would it do a good enough job to snag 8 oz minimum strain dependant

Demand isn’t huge either but those 2 are also top quality control gear and bulbs. Big thing with CMH is they don’t share parts with HPS/MH and at the wattages we want aren’t really used for anything other than growing, I got my wholesaler to try and find a 315 square wave ballast and he couldn’t find one through his suppliers

the blurple LED's dont do a lot for me personally. i wouldnt go there but thats just me i been running full spectrum CMH since like 2010 back when they were still the old 400w phillips mastercolor bulbs. man i miss those bulbs. just as good as the 315w in my opinion bu they were $30 a bulb and rn off any HPS ballast lol

I just said to the neighbour late last night get a 2x2 tent a double ended 600hps or standard and then set up a 2 plant scrog you may even average 8-12 oz per for photos
I also said u got to give it a bit of time cos you never have done indoors.
Then I said grow a lb plant outdoors this summer offload it in one hit and there's your $ for a sweet set up
