Water from the ro machine is at 70 ppm
Charged water with 226 ppm of cal mag total ppm for solution used to expand the coco is 297. Used 2 gal of solution to expand GH COCO TECK. Then rinsed and added 3/4 gallon of Mother Earth perlite.
Many coco brands come with a bunch of built up salt and the 7.0 ph of coco can be hard to break so coco should be tested after expansion.
Mixed Botanicares cal/ mag in 2 gallons to 297 ppm (remember 70 ppm is from the re water) and phed to 5.0. (remember coco ph can be hard to break). Put in half gal to test before i added the rest to flush
Runnoff of the first half gal tested at a wopen 984 ppm and 7.0 ph
Flushed with the last 1.5 gal the end of the runoff tested at 478 ppm and ph.6.7
Mixed another 2 gal
Final runnoff tested at 310ppm ph 6.5
Hey bro, help me out here.

Are you saying that before you used your coco that you flushed/leeched/rinsed it before putting it in pots?

I used House and Garden coco mixed with Perlite. Took them both straight out of the bag, and into the pot with the new clone/seedling.

Is this where I fucked up?

Do I understand you correctly that you tested the runoff PPMs before getting started, and had nearly 1000 PPMs?

the girls are looken good. i will post a pic update tonight. In coco it has been suggested to water every day even twice a day in late flower. i am letting the seedlings dry out before there next feeding to promote root growth. i am also nervous abought the surfice staying moist and the plants dampening off. this may just be a phobia i have left over from soil but this phobia has kept me ever from having a baby dampen off.
also i promised 2 grows with emerald harvest but i think it will only be 1. emailed them almost 2 weeks ago and again on Monday and still haven't received a response. there web site promises a prompt response. the only reason i am continuing with them is i have there entire line and dont want to just pitch it. i dont care how good a product is if the customer service sucks! thats why im not caring mammoth p in the store anymore. Maby when its time to put in more seeds ill email a couple nute companies im interested in and chose which one based on there response.
I’m still tripping hard on watering every day, up to twice a day during Flower.

Never used hng coco. I would assume any pre expanded with a big name on it is at leased pre rinced.
I only flushed it then charged it because it was a coco block which are notorious for having lots of salt. My last transplant i was tired of the extra work so i used cyco wormix which is pre expanded and ph ballanced already

That was your entire problem (except the pm) well the not feeding every day and to strong of nutrients if i remember right you were using full strength on the entire feeding chart but only had 600w of light. I feed at full str then pumped it up a bit more only because i was enriching with co2 which helpes the plant use more light...remember more light means growth means more nutes needed. Less light.. Less growth... Less nutes

OK, I understand what you’re saying.

How many pots can you fill with one of those blocks?

No, I had cut back my nutrient to below half strength.

Yep i had a hard time getting around it to but i did months of research.. Real research before i swiched to coco and all the most reliable people i talked to said every day. When i had a farmer tell me he had his coco on a timer that fead 5 times a day i figured it was almost impossable to over water the stuff.

View attachment 4001179 View attachment 4001181 Some may be wondering why add the organic powder to a synthetic coco run. Benificial bacteria serves 2 porpouses 1 out populate bad bacteria and feed the plant with there waist. Bacteria eats organic and or simple sugars its waist will be composed of what its eating. I want the bennies to eat more than just sugar and make available trace minerals that may not be in the synthetic nutes
Sort of sorry for bumping....

Hey bro, you don’t really expound on what you’re doing here with the powder nutes. Are you top dressing the coco, or do you mix that in with the coco upon initial potting?

Roots organic dry nutes i mixed in instead of top dressing. The wormix has wormcastings mixed in it. The seamix has kelp.

Hey, thanks for getting back, bro. Good to see you again. I’m getting ready to fire up again, and was checking your thread.

Did you mix about a tablespoon of dry nutrients with each pot of coco? Turns out I have some of that roots organic nutrients that I got as a give away.

Amount depends on the pot size. Instructions on amount are on there site if not on the packaging. Fyi now i use mega crop. Much much much cheeper and no more mixing 8 bottles lol. The base covers grow a grow b bloom a bloom b pk booster resen enhancer humics and aminos. The only thing it is missing is sugar, microbes, and flower hardeners.

Megacrop and microbes in veg
Mega crop microbes sugar and g10 in flower

Thanks.

I actually picked up a Emerald Garden nutrients kit. So I’m going to give it a shot. The last couple of grows I did was just using Botinicare Base nutrients, and the end product didn’t come out completely to my liking.

The package on the dry nutes calls for a tablespoon per 5 gallon pot, so I’ll give that a try also.
