First timer needing "checking on"

My first led lights were galaxyhydo until research , growers here, and low yield pointed me in different directions.

I mentioned them opposed to cmh because you started with led. Also one doesn’t need to spend 2 grand for 1 light & grow 600$ worth of flowers, that’s just not true.

Kind of hard to see, but I don't see any bud sites. At two weeks there should be some definite bud sites. Maybe I just can't see them.

Thank you for your comment. I took some photos earlier, still with lights on. However used a flash to try combat the purple haze . Are they what I'm after?

Definitely female, and healthy, but they are just starting to flower. I didn't catch if they're Sativa or indica, but now's when the fun starts. I think sativas are a little slower to flower, so if they're sativa you're probably looking at 9 to 10 weeks until done. Enjoy. Looking good.

Thank you for confirmation and advise. Yes, they are sativas. I'm pleased to hear that they are all females. I shall continue to watch closely just in case one decides to go rogue on me. ( hermie )

That’s not enough light just by looking at the pic, not saying he can’t get another cheap blurple to light the area properly.

I see so many people on here jealous because they can’t afford the high end lights, so they slander the ones who decide to take their hobby to the highest level.

You're missing the point Lola.
Sure you need decent lighting and adequate equipment, but it doesn't have to break the bank to get started growing. First time growers don't need to have a 2 grand setup to start with. If the first timer decides they want to improve on their hobby, that's great.
My point was, growing weed isn't rocket science, and throwing a lot of money and tech at the process doesn't make you a better grower.

Back in the late 70's when I worked on a farm I'd find a secluded 300' x 300' patch of ground rip it up with the tractor, throw some ammonium nitrate down, broadcast the seed and harrow it in. Come back early fall cut out the males, and then harvest in late fall. That's about as low tech as you can get, and it worked fine.

Hard to tell. #1 you need more light! Those lights pretty much do 1 plant. They only last a couple grows till stuff starts going out. When you upgrade I would go 315w chm but you got options. It's your $.

Maybe you started with 4 thinking a few would go male and none did. I have no idea. That's what I do. I have terrible luck with regular seeds.

I have done a lot more research into the different type of lighting best for my circumstances. And sure much better equipment exists. But heat from any other types of lighting no matter how low are still going to be generating more heat than my Mars LED. And I don't have that type of height room. The heat distance to plant top and the wings of the reflector will take up space I just don't have. As it is, I made the mistake of vegging to long, not taking into consideration that for at least two weeks after flicking lights the plant still veg grows, and crazily at that. Hence my plants touching the LED's. In the future when I have the space, then I will def look into greater lighting as you suggested. And I'm glad you did.
On a different note... Again I looked through many reviews from different sites and most give Mars LED 600 the thumbs up. And in some US States a one year warranty is given. Could be that your original wasn't the same tech/spec/model as Mars make now or faulty due to human error?
Once again, the proof is in the pudding, however I would always choose safety over grammage any day.

I'm jealous you got a tractor. . On a serious note. I'm hoping to eventually gets something out of my grows and perhaps try improve the yield with each new grow, through knowledge but not equipment. Eventually that may get looked into. Should I get more space etc. Your words of encouragement and reminder that this is a hobby to enjoy make me feel more upbeat. Thank you.

Whatever you say. I didn’t miss the point , it’s just weird how you’re stuck on someone spending 2 grand for a light which I might add is total bullish#%. Even if that were the case , it’s not your money to be so invested in the next persons set up.

Low tech is using an allis chalmers, a harrow, plow/disc, and spraying with anhydrous ?.... ha ha ha ha. Throw in ammonium glyphosate resistant genes and you got cannabis production Monsanto style...

What farmer leaves a 300' x 300' chunk of plantable land (size of a football field) dormant? Maybe it was on 10 year set aside but if so you wouldn't be planting it.

I correct myself. 60% indica 40% sativa. Or so I think, as I may have mixed up my layout when I planted the seeds. Not sure where I looked earlier to end up with wrong info I gave you. I even had to google pictures showing difference between sativa/indica. Sorry

No worries, you're still well on your way. Couple weeks from now they'll start looking real good. Maybe you can post some more pics in a couple weeks.

Thank you. Last night I checked on them and thought... just how am I going to get them out of the tent for weekly tank clean and to photograph etc. They are quite big.

The guy I bought the chiller from had one of these per plant. They were bushes and I was impressed to say the least. Other than that I dont know much about them.
Looking like you are gonna have some good smoke in a couple months.

This is my first grow. 13 days into flowering. Using Mars LED Hydro 600w and Wilma drip system ( 4 pots ) and I am using Plagron Feed (grow/bloom/booster). I constantly monitor and alter PH and same for EC value. And keep the temperature ( flowering ) within 20 to 25° Celsius. I have never seen a grow before (Apart from online) And was wondering if you folk think all looks okay? I am aware of my plants either very close or touching the LED's. ( which is giving off so little heat at all ) See photos for commenting on if all looks okay

QB 132 12SX11P is the model number

It looks like they go by model numbers so that one is a QB 132. It needs a "driver" to go with it which from what I gathered is the HID equivalent to a ballast. It is the power converter.
