1st off I'm not jealous of anyone's setup, and I can afford whatever I want to buy.
You're missing the point Lola.
Sure you need decent lighting and adequate equipment, but it doesn't have to break the bank to get started growing. First time growers don't need to have a 2 grand setup to start with. If the first timer decides they want to improve on their hobby, that's great.
My point was, growing weed isn't rocket science, and throwing a lot of money and tech at the process doesn't make you a better grower.
Back in the late 70's when I worked on a farm I'd find a secluded 300' x 300' patch of ground rip it up with the tractor, throw some ammonium nitrate down, broadcast the seed and harrow it in. Come back early fall cut out the males, and then harvest in late fall. That's about as low tech as you can get, and it worked fine.

. On a serious note. I'm hoping to eventually gets something out of my grows and perhaps try improve the yield with each new grow, through knowledge but not equipment. Eventually that may get looked into. Should I get more space etc. Your words of encouragement and reminder that this is a hobby to enjoy make me feel more upbeat. Thank you.
