why do people drive lambos when they could drive an 8k chevy? Same concept I guess. Was just wondering if the 5k pushed it into some sort of peak grow spectrum or something.

Umm, you'd be better off just having two of the 140,000 lamps.

Just an expert opinion from the photography aspect. I won't bother going into the growing aspect, as I'm too busy responding to a bunch of other threads to go into details!

The fact is a 145 bulb IS better then a 140 bulb. Weather its worth the extra money or not is a different issue. The 145 bulbs usually have a slightly better spectrum. All it will really do is cover your area better, I doubt you would notice a massively noticeable difference.

If money is an issue a regular 1000w 140000lumens will be perfect.

Seriously, double the pricetag for a measly 5,000 lumen extra? If you can, just buy two of the 140s if you want extra light and can justify the expense.

Running 2 lights is a whole different issue, you need a second ballast, and possibly reflector, then theres the whole power issue. With a bulb upgrade you get more lumens and a better spectrum for the same amount of power and no additional cost for equipment other then the bulb.

google it...theres not much more to answer. The 145 is better, despite the price, but not worth the extra money unless you can afford it.

Yea, it's better, for nearly double the price.

I'd rather buy two 140s and have 280K combined than pay the same for a single 145.
