Second indoor grow

I’m trying to figure out what is going to be my method. 1st grow I did a scrog with 5 plants in a 3x2 with 450w of led.(2x vipar450s) It was so much effort tending to the plants while they were under the screen.

This time I have 5 ILGM gdp’s which I topped once and then put into flower. I am about 6 weeks since flip.

I have 10 nice tops and a few branches have made it to the canopy as well.

I need about 24oz a year for my needs so I’m much more interested in getting the absolute best quality goods I can get during my runs.

Try supercropping. I do that with every plant along with topping . It's not as level a canopy as a SCROG but it works great. No being tied to the screen.

I didn’t even think of that with these. It would have made some of the lower branches make it to the top?

I like not having the screen as it’s so cumbersome for an old hurt fuck like myself but I’m pretty sure I’ve wasted a lot of space (light) with this run

I tie my lower branches to the main stem early after supercropping the top section. Some never do much but most end up producing a nice bud. If they don't look like they're going to get light i cut them and root them.

I’m growing in pro-mix. Temps fluctuate in my room as it’s not air conditioned never higher than 90 and when it does get that high it’s rare and not for long and only in the late summer. I expect temps will be easier to manage in the winter

So your under 90 that's good ..

I’m 80-85 lights on with around 50% rh and 70-75 light off

your humidity is too low. raise it to 80%. Lights on. Bring your humidity down to 40% lights out.

With all due respect I don’t think so. I’m in the 8th week of flowering GDP and that’s right where these girls like it. Maybe other strains prefer a higher humidity but not GDP

This is not about respect.

Im giving you advice to make your plants perform better.

If they were fat and swollen I would agree with you, they are not, they are small and look rather unhappy. I believe that raising your humidity will make your plants grow more.

What makes you think your strain is enjoying this low humidity?

Anyway, at 8 weeks changing these factors wont make a big difference. infuture run higher humidity , they will like it more.

I’m pretty sure my 400 real watts of cheap Chinese leds have more effect on the size of my buds than the 50% humidity which btw has only recently been lowered because the Breeder said it was best during the last few weeks of flowering.
I’m always open to learning as this is only my second run. I really appreciate the interest and feedback

I wouldnt know the exact reason why your buds are small, it could and probably is many factors. Im saying one of your factors is too low, whatever lights you have, I would raise it to 80%.

Raising humidity will not help at this stage. 80% is good for seedling and young plants but doesn't need to be that high for late veg/flower, especially when budrot could be an issue.

That’s not good advice because it just invites mold or rotting. Imo

Found the first bit of rot today on one of the colas. I harvested the offending cola. Broke it down carefully and there was a top and 8 nuggets. 4 nuggets and the top were clean. 4 nuggets got tossed. Checked the rest of the plants and they seem ok so far. Will check again tomorrow. They’re at 63 days and mostly cloudy. Would like a few more amber

you have a ton of empty room, next time scrog the shit out of the tent, youll easily get 30+ozs , try fimming too to add to the scrog

I Scrogged my first grow. I’m disabled and found the watering and screen work to be difficult so I tried a simple uncle Ben’s 2 cola grow this time. I agree I had way too much wasted space. Going to either manifold or flux next grow. I think my closet has room for 32 good colas especially in the winter when my environment is easier to control.

Going to either manifold or flux next grow. I think my closet has room for 32 good colas especially in the winter when my environment is easier to control.

i hope your medicine is helping you, do you have any close friends or family that can help you? what lights are your running? and do you have anyone blasting your material, or even doing alchahol extraction and combining it with some lotion that can help you tremendously
