He shouldn't have said that except it was inevitable that he would. It was a typical right wing racist and shitty thing to say. It was red meat thrown to the right wing non-pc rhetoric speaking red necks in your state and has been effective for attracting votes in your state for generations. They will cheer it and be motivated by it. The rhetoric will get worse too.

Their theory is that racist white people on the left and right will unite around socialist economic policies and become a super majority. They want to tippy-toe around racism. This has been Bernie's appeal to the mainly young white men who support him.

Their problem is a black man who endorses Bernie's socialist economic policies won and so the tippy toe around racism part isn't going to work. I'm hopeful that Florida's demographic shift is enough to put Gillum over the Republican. The racists will vote Republican. They may be outnumbered this time. I hope.

at least have the balls to address it..i'm blown away by the rhetoric because it's only been 30 seconds and literally the first thing he said. I hope he chokes on his Happy Meal tonight- i wish him a horrible death someday.

Your state has laws and courts that allow a white person to shoot and kill a black person if the white person says they got scared regardless of the what that white person did to escalate the situation. Nothing that happens there surprises me.

The only thing I'm surprised by is -- you object to the use of that language. I can't recall you ever objecting to that kind of abuse before.

pay attention- i object to it all the time. i'm not someone who has to tell you i have black friends, or that i've slept with more than one black man in my life or that i'm not racist when accused..your opinion of me, matters not..I know who I am.

I truly wish Gillum success in his bid for office. I think it's too bad he's going to be vilified by the racists who live there and hope that Florida is able to rise above their past. I also think that he knows what he's up against and will do just fine.
