Dude was picked by Trump because of his view on a sitting president legally being able to pardon himself at McConnell's opposition because he knew about the paper trail the committee would undoubtedly uncover during the confirmation hearings, and Trump said "fuck it" anyway...

Why? Do you think they won't?. Surely you haven't changed your mind about Schumer or Feinstein over this. They were pretty lucky that this scandal blew up.
Assuming we do take the Senate which is still a long shot, you do know that we won't assume control until January, don't you? Trump and GOP will have months to push a nominee through.
In any case, it's not over. Clarence Thomas. Remember? I hope Kavity takes it in the ass for his clear lack of character but it's not over yet.
