I started training my seedlings the other day too. I decide to top and leave it so it has 4 mains I left the node that’s right below the manifold node. If that makes sense lol.

So for C. (and also for reptiles) the area below 300nm is the most interesting (UVR8 protein, vitamin D3).
They have a lot of different UV meters; the Solarmeter 6.5 for instance can measure UVB and/or UVA and costs the same.

my only conundrum with leds & the higher temp/calcium issue is that i learned that the most volatile terps evaporate at 70-73*, and if you can smell it your losing it. i still somewhat believe in @RM3 mantra of "happy plants dont stink".Day 33 of ?84?: Girls not rejecting UVa-b, at least yet; faint hints of a skunk in the growroom. After elevating the “diesels” more airflow off ~65F floor has forced me to crank heater temps to maintain 81-83F airtemp in tent - dynamic systems...
Ppfd ~1050 on highest tips under each fixture, all other controlled variables in range.
Plan on upping begin-/end-ofday uv duration 15 mins each tomorrow. Cautiously searching for burn point.

Thx for the moral support, i always say it takes big ones to be a good defol’er. Just momentary lapse of reason...I'd strip the hell out of those, but I tend to do a little bit at a time and that doesn't look feasible with the access to the back you have. Can you remove the tent walls and get around the sides and back?

I don't think there is a trade off running led at higher temp. The reason you can run a higher room temp is that the IR isn't going crazy and warming the leaf surface. I wonder what the difference would be in actual leaf temp from an optimized led grow and an optimized conventional grow. My nonscientific gut is betting they'd be about the same.
