Will confirming a drunken serial rapist benefit republicans politically?

Life in Russia right now is actually a bit better for the average person than life in the United States.
Is that an observation based upon facts or a belief? Your strange attempt to say Russians are prosperous because "college students were seen on a cruise down the Volga" rings hollow when you look at the state of each country's economy.

Totally agree that there are probably areas like access to healthcare where Russia is better. Still, in terms of happiness, cost of living relative to wages and other metrics, in most areas the US is a better place to live. I'd also say that lack of free and fair elections and having the dictator for life murdering people who speak out is cause for preferring the US.

That said, Russia is a large country with plenty of natural resources and in most areas a healthy environment to raise a family. It's not the shithole that some people here say it is. It's not Nirvana compared to the US either.

It's not a stereotype. The average household income is under 7,000 US dollars per year. Sure, they have healthcare and education but the average worker in Russia has a very low standard of living. Your in-laws ought not to consider a cruise to be a microcosm. The oldest trick in the Russian playbook is the brush shined turd. They often paint over the rust. One other thing you won't hear much about is the extraordinary amount of money that comes into the country by way of remittance from prostitution in countries with strong tourist markets. Russia produces very little in the way of exports and only recently began to turn much of a profit from European energy demand. Russians are desperate to get out find a better life.
The only close interaction I’ve had with Russians is the Landing Strip in Toronto and the girls seem nice ;).

You folks have a very distorted view of life in Russia. Don't become the very idiots you despise by believing 60 year old stereotypes.

Right now, my father-in-law is on a cruise down the Volga from Moscow to Nishny Novgorod with a class of college students. They all have private cabins.

Life in Russia right now is actually a bit better for the average person than life in the United States.
have you ever seen any pics from @vostok doesn't look like he's living large..

not every white american male is racist just like not every russian male is KGB..or are they?

I listen to the BBC at night. Heard about this series of protests a couple three weeks ago. Putin had to back down on changing the retirement age. It's 55 for women and 60 for men. With life expectancy around 71 years, that is pretty skate.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/russia-protests-vladimir-putin-thousands-rally-change-pension-age-moscow-a8519621.html
So, Putin trying to raise the pension age to the equivalent of the United States (actually still lower) is somehow just off the hook?

Then agreeing with the protesters and reaching a compromise with them is again the act of a vicious dictator?

You're an entirely brand new kind of stupid, aren't you?

His country is on the verge of revolt, he knows it. What ever was gained in the compromise will no doubt be stolen from some other state resource later. This may not be the act of a vicious dictator, but murdering and poisoning journalists, political opponents, and former associates while being in power for two decades is.

If Russia so great why so many women want American men?

I didn't give my opinion on anything, other than so early a retirement age was skate. I was just adding some information to the conversation about Russia that some may not have known. But as well read as this board is,I'm sure it was not necessary.

And I always thought of myself as thrift store stupid. But thanks for the compliment.
