He tried to do that why? Could it be that they are slipping into a fiscal hell perhaps? I’m just asking btw so don’t get all agitated. I do realize that Putin is very popular at the moment.

Are you replying to me? I’m not sure, that’s why I asked as you seem to be quite knowledgeable about Russia. I just read that the middle class is actually not doing quite as well as they did a few years ago, also somewhat due to the US sanctions after they annexed Crimea. What was up with that anywho?
