I want to thank @maxlev for turning me on to this particular highly prized addition to my lighting toolkit. Been looking for something like this for awhile, most similar high quality tools are much more expensive and more lab-like.

Made me feel like this when it arrived this morning.

You're the one trolling mate. Even if you pretend you still don't realize this after about a few dozen people told you so. It's of course all those people that are wrong while you are the brilliant one out.

Still, I can't imagine the great wisdom you will dig up from where the sun don't shine using this device. Comedy gold for weeks to come I'm sure.

Far red bar is also on (never will be on when other lights are on), but relative intensity perceived by human eyes is too low to see when other lights are on.

Hey mate!
I just ordered a far red initiator from Rapid led (https://www.rapidled.com/far-red-initiator-puck/)
They 4 x use Cree XLamp XP-E Leds. Would you recommend I run these for 1-2 minutes before lights out and 1-2 minutes after lights out? My grow space is 2.5x2.5x6

Dont know if I agree with that, because u can achieve the same affect with 90cri and there is no far red at lights out with it.

What lightson hrs:lightsoff hrs you going with?

Not sure if you saw it, but if you diy, rapidled’s emerson strip does both emerson and initiator effects, pretty sweet bogo..,

might want to get a Sonoff timer for it. few bucks well worth it for this puck. You simply splice an extension cord, and just plug it in.

I actually did see that one! but since my room is 2.5x2.5 and the coverage for the little guy is 3x3 I figured It might just be enough to create the emerson effect on its own no?
I'm going to be switching to flower in 3-4 days. Will do 12-12 I figure and just two minutes of far red after lights off and see how that goes.
The funny thing is that Growmau, the maker says in his video to use it for 15 minutes too. so I'm wondering mhm.

I believe the one i linked might be too long for your setup. That puck i thought was only a far red initiator, does it have red and deep red diodes too, you need them for emerson?

I’d go with 15 mins, won’t do anything negative if other lights are out. The story (anecdotal as best i can tell) is that you can go upto 2 hours longer lights off (10:14) to get some additional flowers, and that the get closer to 12:12, the extra sleepytime helps shorten the duration of flowering period.

I’m running both full lightson emerson and 15 min lightsoff far red (12:12), my feeling is that the emerson is doing way more than the lightsout far red, but i have no evidence to present.

I trust @Randomblame ’s opinion, maybe he’ll chime in.

One suggestion, don’t start emerson or initiator until after stretch, unless you’re trying to boost internode length.
