Good luck with that. The boycott warehouse weed movement is going strong. Canadian governments are going to be the first pot dealers in history to lose money selling weed. I would recommend selling your stocks now - they are about to crash.
Unfortunately Chris I think they will get a bump up. The giddiness is going to be big time bullshit. They're going to be all a titter about how much weed is being shipped and so on. i guess on an announceable level it will be true. Nothing like it to compare it too. nobody has ever owned up to selling that much weed. It's happened I'm sure.
But yes Chris your advice is solid imo. Once the pre-show ends...tanks-ville. It will take a year or 2 to sort out though.
I had some of this discussion with some store owners today.

So the lies will be huge.

Lol! It's your money.
Lot's of media hype driving up interest, but hype doesn't reflect reality. The big problem, besides the nasty public image baggage they carry, is that there are only a handful of legal stores across the country that will be open on Oct. 17. BC has 1. Provincial governments have said it will take 1 - 5 years to bring in retail stores, so they are relying on online sales. Why would anyone except a newbie wait 3-5 business days for some weed they bought sight-unseen and paid double the price when they can go to the same dealer they've been using for years? Everybody can grow 4 plants for personal use, and legally 'share' up to 30g at a time, and the medical gardens are still going. BC is not going to shut down the illegal dispensaries until more options are available for consumers - the dispensaries don't sell LP weed. There is a federal push for small 'craft-growers' to be given access to the market which will provide competition and eat up market share.
I don't have a horse in the race and I don't know you, so I'm not trying to mislead anyone. I'm just saying how it looks to someone sitting close to the action.

I think your missing the point. Canada is going to help these companies conquer the world . . . and help open up more countries to legalization. World wide legalization, kind of has a ring to it!

I think you're missing the point. These companies would need customers in order to conquer anything. These companies lobbied HARD to take away grow rights for patients, they have used banned poisons and hid it and they are owned by ex-police chiefs and politicians. There are 200,000 Canadian medical patients who are actively trying to make these growers fail. World legalization would be great, but not at the advancement of these lowlife business owners.

I wish the United States would have taken the same approach as Canada. Legalization in a country the size of Canada is impressive and will be watched by the entire world. Law enforcement from states surrounding Colorado are down right hostile to folks from here.
