Hey guys,

It's been a while now since I finished my last run of ghost OG, and I'm into the last grow until after the winter. It gets very cold here, and can't afford to heat the room I grow in all winter long. Going to be building a new room over the winter months, where I can control the environment better.

I've got four plants going and after having trouble last grow with the stretch during flower I decided to build my own ghetto scrog net, and see the difference it could make. First time growing this way, and it's taken some leg work, but soon enough it'll be on autopilot minus the watering. I have 4 plants going here , 24k gold, Cindy xx, Alien OG, and critical cheese.

They're at day 10 of 12/12 today, I cut the veg time down a little and didn't get to fill the net as much as I would have liked to, but hoping the next week of stretch will fill up some of the holes. Tough to gauge the stretch of each plant, thinking i'll have to pull a few down and secure em to keep things even.

Still learning scrog, too, but you can clean up that under growth to increase airflow. Any branches not making it to the net, cut them off. Fan leaves, above net, gone. Maybe next time keep tucking till the end of stretch.
I hope they finish together or harvest will be some extra work!

4 different plants in a single SCROG might end up being a bit of a pain for different growth rates, maybe not. Training will definately help! Scrogging is the best, I love the style.

Hey man, I started cleaning up some of the growth beneath the net, but wasn't sure if I should clean it all up at once, or do it over a couple of days? Will going mad with the snips all at once, cause much stress? I haven't cleaned up much of the canopy yet, but need to get that done as well. I just basically cleared up the shoots that don't have a chance of making it to the net, and some bigger fan leaves.

It'll be some extra leg work for sure, and a couple plants seem further ahead of the other two so I can't see them finishing at the same time but ya never know. Heres to hoping! haha

I will join you guys over in the scrog thread for sure. I haven't really ventured too far from the indoor grow section yet, so thanks for the invite. Loving the scrog style man. It's looking like the stretch is almost over, as I haven't noticed much vertical growth the last couple of days. I'm going to start pulling the tallest down , to get even as possible once the stretch is over.

Here's an update fr today -- wish I could fill in that gap closest the door, shitty I had to cut the veg time down .. Get it next time though right?

Really not sure the best practice, myself! I'll thin as i go, a little each day. Maybe a couple hard sessions could let her recover better than continually bringing her down......idk. Maybe a more experienced grower could shed light on the subject! @ANC, @Lordhooha, @projectinfo, @JayBio420

growing in the cold sure can hit your self-esteem. even when you think you are doing everything right, there just isn't the amount of metabolism going on that results in decent yields.
When that happens and your girls refuse to stretch and stack after flipping, go in and defoliate hard, this way the little weed you grow will be usable rather than fluffy little pieces of popcorn.

The temps have been tough for sure .. I've been able to keep the lights on temp around 24/25 deg c, and dark cycle around 15 degrees. Should be able to keep this up for another month before it starts to really get cold around here. Went in and done quite a bit of defoliating this morning and gave them a good watering. Thanks for the tips guys, as always it's very much appreciated. Going to join you guys over in the scrog thread as well.

On a positive note, I'm glad I grow and didn't need to stand in a huge line up this morning for the grand opening of legalization of cannabis. Liquor stores are crazy today.

Yeah man, I'm over on the east coast of Canada. It's good news for sure, and pretty cool being here to see it happen. I live in a small town where everyone either knows you or someone in your family and as long as you were quiet about growing or buying we didn't have any trouble. It's been pretty relaxed here, since the first talks of legalization.

haha yeah, it's one thing our government hasn't fucked up. Now only if they could work on fixing our economy, we would be in an okay position. Not a good time to be a trades person around here.

I haven’t been updating this thread much, but wanted to give one more update before harvest. The grow hasn’t gone without troubles but I think the end result will be good.

I grew out 4 plants , the 24k gold was certainly the most picky of the bunch but managed to get her to the end. The others were pretty stress free. With 4 different strains they are going to finish at different times but I’m thinking 10 days max for the ones which aren’t quite there yet ( Alien OG and 24k gold )
