Temp Problems!?

People say to me read read read when it comes to growing weed and honestly have been, But I have spend around £350 on a grow tent, The tent came with everything with it, Rather than me explain here it is what I bought

I bought all the Canna Nutrient range at the same place I bought their tent so im using the full canna range and printed out the grow guide I'm going to use.


Right my recent question is, I bought a expensive Temperature and Humindity Gauge, I've had it in there now a few days and I've been writing the temps with humidity down in a notbook, The temps have been,

34.3 Yesterday, Humidity 17%
36.5 Temperature, Humidity 16%

Just my understanding is it's meant to be,

I have a fully working carbon filter sucking air out, Plus I have a fan on top speed circulating air around the tent, Yet temps are still high? I have 4 plants in there, Thing is I have a small fan not a full size house fan could this be the problem?

36° is damn hot, I can't get them temps with heaters on.

It is hot isn't it I was thinking that a dam hot to, This is the exact thermometer im using I got it yesterday and just put the battery in and started using it.

Is doesn't come with a probe sensor not unless I'm missing something, There is nothing on the back that can unattatch or anything I'm sure off it.

Ok, is there a setup procedure in the instructions?
Where have you placed it in the tent?
I'm assuming your UK, up north.

Yeah certainty am U.K and the good north lol

All it says really is just say set the time on it once you have put the battery in and then that's in really it's in the corner off the tent, Originally I did have it in one off the pots under th r light but it was in the 40 so I was like nahhhh, so I put it in the corner, Maybe I could duct tape it like where I would put a clip on fan if I had a clip on fan, Like above the light??

I always have a normal thermometer in my cab as well as my digital just for reference.
Your temps can't be down to outside temps, it's mild at the mo. Lights on I hit 21° and 16° off

Try placing it on top of the pots and shade it from the light, if it's in direct light that could give you the high reading.

Hahaha sorry for the late reply there pal I fell asleep been on call from work all night lol Yeah man good to meet another northerner to we are lodged right in between Sunderland and Newcastle lol No it doesn't feel hot in tent at all just from opening it and standing in it, I have a funny feeling I need a bigger fan instead off a office fan as they call them. The fan is small it's like a little desk fan rather than a fan that can cool a full room ill have to get our lass to get one while she's out, What ill do when lights comeback on at 6 ill take a pic off my setup for you bud.

Yeah available looked Into that as well bud with it been my first propper grow (I've always been outsider grower every summee) I've been bang on to everything like writing the date smoke the seeds popped writing the date down the seeds where transplanted into a pot broke through the soil the lot, I've been taking the temps and humidity everyday to, Its all in a 2018 diary I bought lol.

A little bit about my grow/tent It cost me nearly £350 off a website called growwll, it’s a good website ,Ive Bought everything off it I
Bought 2 bags off coco, 4 Rhizo pots to grow in I also bought each and everyone one off the Canna nutrients , From A+B, Cannazym, Rhyzotonic, PK 13/14, Canna Boost and even the Canna Flush
So What do you think folks? All I need now is a 10 litre mixing buckets to mix nutrients in,


I’m growing 4 plants under one a 600hps lights 2 x Royal Cheese and 2 x White Widow, One small house fan circulating my grow tent as we speak, Carbon filter running 24-7 with exhaust fan running 24/7 even when lights are off for 6 hours I’m currently in veg 18 hours light 6 hours, But I’m sure this is where my problems are stemming from with as hours.

How is your fan and filter hooked up? Do you have any of the bottom vents open on the tent? Where is the tent and where are you venting the fan to? What wattage light?

My fan and carbon are hooked up with air blowing out off the tent through a vent in the wall I took off straight outside, Also I now have a 4" Inline fan that's placed near the window sucking air in with the window open and ducting running off the Inline fan and ducting into the tent and temps are still high!!!

I think I might buy a 6" fan @KrazyG did advise this I'm sure.it was you buddy but insistent listen and went with the 4", Well the 6 is getting bought now hahaha

Lol buddy, have a look at something that's got a speed controller, and look at a cool tube as well.
You will have the same issue when summer comes around otherwise, best to be prepared

Are you running your lights at night? Do you have a cold air intake or a window you can keep constantly open if not?
You need to look into a cool tube - I tried the setup you have using the existing extraction fan but you'll do better getting a stand alone fan for that. Cheap one will do running through the tents side holes.
Also, ive got that thermometer and it doesn't work very well, you'll have to keep it in the shade to get a good reading as it absorbs the heat - mine melted in the summer. The glass fell off.. You'd get better readings with one with a probe. You'll want the probe also in the shade and at canopy height (or close to it)

Rhino thermostatic fan 6" is what you should get. Tie it to the top cross bars with blue rope or chain and the fewer bends (1 ideally) the better. Also, you won't want the piping out of it very long at all, mines around 2 metres long and I shortened it

So do.you actually have the inline fan in the tent the the ducting going out day near a window ?
