Nice build, nice plants! What did you have in there previously?

What are you driving that with?

thank you! i appreciate it. they were under 400W of cobs before. What are you driving that with?
He says a few posts up.What are you driving that with?
You have a lux or ppfd meter, if so how's it reading at 400w?thank you! i appreciate it. they were under 400W of cobs before.
specficially, Vero29CSE @ 1400mA, 2 in 3000k and 2 in 3500k
using hlg-600h-54b dimmed to 66%
Sorry, didn’t see itHe says a few posts up.
oh sorry i misread your question. i do have a cheap lux meter on my phone. ill check it out next time i'm down thereYou have a lux or ppfd meter, if so how's it reading at 400w?
How do you think intensity compares to same wattage cobs?oh sorry i misread your question. i do have a cheap lux meter on my phone. ill check it out next time i'm down there
Can you take a few readings?oh sorry i misread your question. i do have a cheap lux meter on my phone. ill check it out next time i'm down there
at an eyeballed 16" using the shitty app on my phone and my long skinny arm I got readings of about 68k lux under the boards, moving around the canopy the smallest number i could find is 48k around the corners and the very center. Can you take a few readings?
So about 1000 ppfd and 700ppfd, similar to diagram i posted earlier...@ 400w...Sweet!at 16" using the shitty app on my phone i get readings of about 68k lux under the boards, moving around the canopy the smallest number i could find is 48k around the corners and the very center.
overall it looks similar if not better than cobs
cool cool thanks, yeah after all that science i just did i was thinkin the same thing. and time to smoke a fatty. So about 1000 ppfd and 700ppfd, similar to diagram i posted earlier...Sweet!
Are your lights movable in the fixture? If so, probably an inch or two closer to center will bump center coverage.
Enjoy man, beautifull setup and plants, and great new lights!cool cool thanks, yeah after all that science i just did i was thinkin the same thing. and time to smoke a fatty.
So, $400+$170/600w => 95 cents per watt at maxEnjoy man, beautifull setup and plants, and great new lights!
Gonna twist one here in a min.
Cheers!
Yeah, these lights sure aren’t appropriate for a tent...Could have fooled me. You've been itching for a fight since that odd post you made about me putting you on ignore. I suggest you put me on ignore - it will be much better for your blood pressure.
Mine was 2200, someone found one for 1500, the next sekonic down is less expensive and does spectrum, but not ppfd (apogee ppfd meter is about 300).@Or_Gro is there a cheaper alternative for a spectrometer other than that $3000 one you are using? i would love to see what kinda results i'm dealing with in my setup.
thanks. i might check the local grow store and see if he has one i could borrow. i'd love to see what i got but don't want to spend too much on something i'd only use a few times at mostMine was 2200, someone found one for 1500, the next sekonic down is less expensive and does spectrum, but not ppfd (apogee ppfd meter is about 300).
A good lux meter (consitentcy is the key) is relatively cheap and can somewhat approximate a ppfd meter (using correct conversion factor).
@Randomblame mentioned a diy spectrometer for a few hundred $s, maybe contact him or he might post here?
The spectrum is definitely a luxury, unless you’re playing with new lights a lot.thanks. i might check the local grow store and see if he has one i could borrow. i'd love to see what i got but don't want to spend too much on something i'd only use a few times at most
I 2nd this my par meter was one of my best purchases it helps alot when the plants are growing fast or when dimming I've also started to notice what strains like the higher ppfd and what ones like lower ppfdThe spectrum is definitely a luxury, unless you’re playing with new lights a lot.
The intensity meters (lux/ppfd) are something like a pH/ec/temp meter is to dwc...if you have one, you start to use it frequently, especially when you have diff ht plants, especially before stretch ends...
