First time LED grow 7 strains and counting...

Hello everyone, been reading a long time, tried a journal once, had to abandon it and the grow. Now I'm back in action testing genetics for a company out of Michigan and using this chance to get some knowledge and feedback. I will be catching up over the next day or so, my project is 11 days along but I have progress shots from the start.


Strains I'm running:

Dawg Master (Crockett Dawg x Master Splinter)

The Short x Donatello Kush

Master Cookies (Forum Cookies x Space Dood x Master Splinter)

Grape Ultra ( Grape Romulan x Pre 98 Bubba x Master Kush)

Hulkberry

Zookies

Dosidos x Master Kush

Plus I'll be integrating about 2-3 new strains every 2-3 weeks plus running a little breeding project with my Critical Mass mother, Purple Punch x Platinum Cookies mother and Purple Kush male.

Vipar Spectra 450w for veg and 2 Mars 300w for flower in a 3x3 tent

I also have a single 24w T5 I keep my seedlings under for the first 7 days

Not to trash blurple led but why didnt you go with something more efficient like HLG's qb? Ive heard stories of those kinds of lights breaking down fast.

You'll prob want to use all 3 lights during flower. Then down the road upgrade your flower light n use the others for veg n mothers.

They are just in place for a week or two until I get the 630cmh

Not to say you can't use chm for flower but you'd be better off with 600 hps. For one thing 630 cmh is actually just 2 315 bulbs put together. So you don't even get a boost in effecientcy like going from a 400w hps to a 600. Also hps has a better spectrum for a dedicated flower light.

just can't afford to run a hps in my apartment right now. I have 8,000w total of the Hortilux Eye 1,000w at my farm but doing what I can with what I have right this moment. I have more genetics than I can possibly run right now so I'm just chewing through them hunting some phenos.

Huh? You'll have enough for a 630w cmh but not a 600hps?

Power bill yes. I live on the 2nd floor and running a hps plus my veg, clones, and either the central air conditioning or the smaller ac will all add up. Until we can pick our energy provider now that California is going 100% renewable energy, I'm stuck paying almost $230/mo in power as it is now

I got the dimmable 450w its nice for seedlings idk about anything else. One day ill find out. I like the light though i was thinking about mounting one in my living room but that might be weird....

Yes it's the one with the two switches. I'm digging it so far. Secret time, my girl and I hung one in the living room and tripped acid while trimming one night I don't think it's weird. Watch your eyes though fam

Animal Cookies at 17 days old. Leaves curling from overwater maybe? It doesn't get over 76°/50% in the veg closet idk what the issue is
