@Unclebaldrick

My wife came in and saw your sig pic on the screen and said it looks like our niece who shot herself in the head 2 months ago- I hadn't really made that connection until my wife pointed it out, but now every time I see it, it kind of freaks me out. I'd consider it a personal favor if you would delete it. Thanks
RIU is far better when you turn off the signatures.

Look up the definition of “celebrate”, nazi
cel·e·brate
/ˈseləˌbrāt/
verb
  1. 1.
acknowledge (a significant or happy day or event) with a social gathering or enjoyable activity.
"they were celebrating their wedding anniversary at a restaurant"
synonyms: commemorate, observe, mark, keep, honor, remember, memorialize
"they were celebrating their wedding anniversary"
  2. 2.
perform (a religious ceremony) publicly and duly, in particular officiate at (the Eucharist).
    "he celebrated holy communion"
OK, now what? Please connect the dots so I can understand how liking a post equates to celebrating.

All political speech is protected under the first amendment, so long as it does not call for violence. Or so the Supreme Court has ruled. It therefore stands to reason that speech we do not like is an unfortunate consequence of having free speech. You got a remedy for that?
Fascists advocate and commit violence. I've seen them doing just that during some rallies in Portland. You'll see it soon enough in other cities. They were using us as a training ground.

Fascists are very good at violence. Also they have infiltrated police forces who just stand by and watch.

You really shouldn't defend Nazis. They are anti-democratic violent authoritarian and are close to gaining control of the country. I realize you want this now because you think they are on your side but you won't like it when they come to take away your stuff that you so materialistically accumulated in place of a real life. By then you'll be isolated, alone and wondering why nobody will defend you when you defended them so vociferously.

I just don't see 40% of the country as fascist. YMMV Seems like repubs respected the vote and accept that they lost the house.

Hitting the like button on a post a white supremacist made was an acknowledgement

How about the other reporters he shut down, like the one from NPR (fake news?/blo me) that he accused of being racist (black woman).
He's scared (probably shitting in his pants) of the press, Mueller, and basically most of the country and the world (latest poll shows the MAJORITY, think he is a dick).
what was more disturbing was the way he was pacing back and forth, looking like he was going to have a coronary..glad he got the news about Tester winning Montana live..he spent a lot of time in bumfvckedmontana with those hillbillies and now trump may lose Florida and Georgia, too.

Would you agree that "liking" a comment could mean tacitly endorsing it?
No, sometimes I like stuff that just makes me laugh. Sometimes I like stuff simply because the poster responded to something I wrote and I appreciate the dialogue. Sometimes I like bucks posts, it does not mean I somehow support every belief the poster has, how could it?

that seems like a sensible answer. but i cannot find the humor in violent posts ripping on social justice. don't you think people have a right to be be themselves? a right to their own identity?

I am an individual. You are an individual. We are all individuals. Feel free to judge me as an individual. I have strengths and I have weaknesses. I am not racist but accept that I have benefited from white privilege and I would like to live in a world where this does not happen. So I support social justice. But if the tactic for achieving social justice is to falsely label people as racists, I'm not with you.

Ok. But we just got done judging entire groups of people for their collective beliefs, why did we suddenly just become individuals?
