WOW HBR the girls are looking great. They are filling like crazy! I like the addition of the end shelves. How many plants total you have in there? If you get that book back, and could PM me the info that would be great. Its gonna be a few months before I can set up agian, but I'm tryin to build a plan now. I don't think I could think of a more rewarding job then setting up grows. You know you'll get hooked up at harvest, and being to help people to make somthing awesome would be great.

Lol its funny you asked for 96 of them at one store. I would have deffinatly asked around, maybe got 10 at a time. I like the idea of the 3 inch, I would prolly be plenty of space. I was thinkin aero, from this other thread I've been reading, I think I linked it back a few posts. I would prolly use 3" net pots in the PVC, and fill them with hydroton, just for the support, but the roots would just be hanging in the pillers, with the sprayers right next to them, so they don't have to grow huge to produce huge plants. I'm sure that that many of them would deffinitely be pricy though, but that might be why collesium charges so damn much.

thunder... those y fitings are expensive... cost from 6.30 to 18 bucks a pop... heres a site i found that list them,,,Find PVC Wyes & Tees and other Pipe Fittings PVC & CPVC at Aubuchon Hardware


i like there reducing y pipe or" wyes" as there called.. its a 4 inch outer pvc pipe but then branches off to a 3 inch..so that would be yr size of of the the net pot

they also have a 3 inch into 2 inch..that would work of your doing all aro... well heres a pic of what i got going on..all in all it cost me about 80 bucks or soo..i was goona go with the wood sides however if came about to be costing the same soo i didnt want to mess with the nailing and measuring...to change the hieght of the side rails if i have you i bought and extra board soo i can shim the sides up or down...


and yea hbr i am liking the flexibility of the blocks. i hope it works good in the tent... i can add or make bigger at any given time.or if i needed too.. i can turn the whole thing into a work bench or garage shelving..lol..

i piickedd everything up today..however i was unable to build it cus of some outside things came up that i had ot help today soo tomarrow i will have it all build..cant wait..will be using my 600s and 400s for now untill i can get 2 more 600s...

I like those reducer y's you were talking about, the 3"-2" would prolly work great with the aero setup, the guy that started my aero ideas, uses 2" net pots, so that would be purfect. I don't know if i'm gonna end up building that, or a stadium, or what yet. I've been getting so many ideas on here, its boggling my mind lol. I want to do one of everything, and see what yields the most. hehe, but then i'd need more lights damn.

I chose the stadium over full vert due to cash avail at the time,
I believe this is the cheapest route for the results you get.
one of those cages could fit in a tent why not do one in there and a stadium in another room or both in the same room.A full vert should the most effecient but a bit more building materials.The cage limits your veg time greatly,they are 1 ft from bulb so no veg.I say do it all and lets get our own vertical section on the main page!

hell yea... i mean wtf...HG420 hada vertica, section...we can be the moderators///sounds like a plan...im almost done with my staduim...just hooking up the lights now.. those grow bags area bitch to use..to open each one up...dam...i found a good way to do it..i use my shop vack and i inflate each one with the air flowing from the back if it..it worked really well...
i also added another shelf thats not pictured yet...

right now only have 2 shelfs and a 4oow not sure if a 1ooo would be overkill in there or not.
Those are Private reserve Og kush in 1 gal,yummmm cant wait....7 weeks till heaven!

Ya natural that is lookin real nice, and HBR still lookin fuckin great. Techniquely I have a full basment, and I have room to do a stadium, a cage, and a flat SCROG grow, all of which are things going through my head. But one that would be sooooo much work to run 3 gardens, mothers, and clones to fill them all. And two it would deffinatly be alot of money to set them all up. I've only got my 1 1000w hps at the moment, so I have to build around that. We just moved in like 2 weeks ago, so I want to feel out my landlord a bit and make sure he isn't going to be over here or nosey before I set anything up. My only concern is that there is an upstairs to our house that is another apartment, and their hotwater tank is in the basement. The basment can only be accessed through our kitchen, and the hotwater tank does look farly new. Any opinions, I wish I could have gotten a house to ourselves, but when we were looking, there wasn't anything for rent in our price range. I want to do something, and the closets are pretty small, so I'd rather not step back down to a closet. My last grow, I had a whole bedroom, so going back to a closet would suck.

Maybe I'll find a way to do the cage, and you guys have the stadiums locked down, and we'll be able to get that vrt section.

oh hey hbrv what kind of gro bags do you have? i picked up ones bt hydrofarm..and it seems that no matter how much soil i put in there is still flattens out and does not come up to the bag.. i almost wish i owuld of spent the extra money and bought the 1 gallon small plasic poits..however i cant fit as many of them on each shelf...

Smellmwill not be an issue with a scrubber and if he ever asks for pot hook him up!
Happy neighbors are not crappy neighbors! Just made that up pretty bad ass i know...
But ya with all that space 2 gardens would be good i have 3 gardens and it is work for sure....But very worth it.ya dirt is decieving the ones i filled up the most are doing the best.The bushmaster side is better for sure.....I would def use again on the whole garden....other side just got too lanky...

hey hbr.... so in terms of how much soil is the best for the bags... how many 16 oz red flip cups of soil per bag would say to put in? also is your other tent a 4 by 4? i have a 4 by 8 just sitting in the garage waiting to be used..but im using rooms soo i dont even need that... what other garden do you have?

Dood use the 4 x 8 im tryin to get a friend set up in one of those that would be great!
Pack those bags full as you can with a lil room on top but barley any.
the dirt will settle and more dirt is more room for roots

oh smack...yea damm i think i have to add more soil...you think a stadium could fit in a 4 by 8 hut...maybe only like 2 to 3 tier? plus are you running CO2?

There is noticeable difference with the ones i filled up less,plants are 4-5 in shorter
I will be running co2,but im out right now
I think it would work,I think 3 shelf max though.
1 ft in the middle will only leve room for 1.6ft per side
Full vert would do good too i think, give er a shot!
I have some out door plants i am contimplating finding space for either inside the stadium room or i need to get another tent...the problem is that theyre like 5ft...i dont know what to do but im getting paranoid about how much they stink,and being visible by airplane. I dont want to risk mites in the flower room but i wanna flip the od ladies where should i?

make an outdoor tent for them from poly, or buy a real tent. cover the outdoor ones when they need dark. i saw these cool outdoor things that are like a tent with a retractable roof you can put on a timer. if i had outdoors id/ may look into it

First I want to say sorry for posting this twice but I noticed this post should have gone here and not replied in my thread but here it is..

I just finished reading your journal and having read that after reading stinkbud's journal I have to say I'm feeling like a noob all over again, lol I am defiantly going to figure out how to use both systems as they both have the traits I'm looking for as far as work load and yield potential.

I do have some questions for you on that stadium setup tho, I noticed your bulbs were hanging vert and were exposed, did you experince any burn to your plants from the lights hanging that way, did the bottom row stretch? and once the top row gets to growing do you move the light up or down? i'm guessing down cause if you went up the bottom row would defianly stretch rite? and could you use cool tubes on the lights using that setup, and if so would you decrease the walkway, by how much? were your lights on a system to raise and lower, what did you use? Im going to build 2 tents for each room (8 x 8, an 10x10)but only have one rack in the veg room, to leave room for mammas.

and if anyone that subscribed to hbr's journal has designed some plans based on the stadium and an stinkbud's aero please fill me in, I am almost certain at this point that I want to do this hybrid sog stadium/aero using 4oo mh and floros for the veg, and 2 lk hps for bloom.

just off the top of my head I see it like this:
mammas under the 400, an aero cloner using the net cups and tops, transfer clones to 1gal bags with rocks (wash net cups to use again) to stadium rack shelves being some sort of gutter or channel that the bags can sit in and flood the gutter for 4 times a day?(<-help here) using floros over each shelve during veg growth(<-suggestions here welcome)

continue stadium setup in bloom, 2 racks 10' long and (<-what should my shelve spacing be here? and how many shelves per rack) with a 24" walkway?
shelves are gutters using same flood method to feed (I dont want to mix nutes and hand water every day! dont mind the extra work up front to make it more automated ) 2 1k, with cool tubes (<- is this even a good idea with a stadium setup?) and co2.

thats off the head and I am reformulating as we speak, thanks for your help and yes I will start a journal once I have everything nailed down and know what strain I'm using.

I built a min green house tent thing and i just feel like its so visible from the sky,and the stink hits my neighbors in the face ....i thought about running a iar scrubber in there ....hmmmm

Lol offgrid, I'm gonna respond to you on this thread too, look back through this thread, and I have discussed several alternate ideas with HBR for a hybrid. I'm still working on several, tryin to figure out what I'm gonna do for my next.
