this is basically a small update from my last thread. i pruned all my plants(i kno its bad to remove fan leaves because they act as little solar panels but my and buds have been greater do to this), i also added a couple cfls for an even 700 watts thru 21 cfls! OH YEA THE PIC IS ALOT BETTER!

Why did you prune?
because all the plants in the black pots are in there last two weeks of flowering and i want as much maturation as possible. at this point im 6 weeks along in flowering and the calyxes aren't swelling as much, the plants have focused there attention on the pistils and their changing of color. i never prune back fan leaves until the end of the 6th week of flower!

how long do you veg before you switch them over to flower? or do you just flip the clones into flowering sog style?
there is no veg time at all. as soon as i get some bangin roots. off to flower she goes!

:leaf::leaf: Man those buds would beef up so bad if you had some T5's on the wall. :leaf::leaf:
i think so too. ive been actually thinkin about side lighting A LOT! im just tryna figure out how im gonna get them in there

Well if thats a solid wall behind you with studs, you can get a stud finder, and put some anchor screws into em and hang your t5's off of it.

Also, some reflectors will prob help your focusing of your lights a bit more. Creating denser buds.

hey dude this looks really cool, im about to start a new set... of seeds, how do u know when the plant has a "bangin" set of roots to start the flower, and is that bad for the plant to start flowering early?

i know the roots are bangin when i have about 7 nice long white roots! not just a lil bitch ass tap root. im talkin about an old man with white dreads . it depends on what u mean by flowering early! if your talking about maturity, all my plants are clones so as soon as they have roots they are ready to go 12/12. now if your talking about putting them in large soil containers too early i do believe it will affect the plants growth spurts. over the past ive learned that if you throw a clone or small cutting in a large pot before it has a good set of roots it will take a little extra time for the plant to jump back on that 1/4 to 1/2" growth a day we all dream about! whereas if you throw that same clone or cutting into a larger container (for example, the 2L bottles im using) , and the roots were flying everywhere before you transplanted it, the plant will just take off, and roots will grow happily covering 100% of the container

im asking how you know it has 7 roots, do you use clear containers? because light damages roots. also heard bad things about digging them out a little to look at the roots.
