Massive heat problem! Solutions?

..the ballast is out of the room?

34c is hard to fight against without serious ac

but

good led settup with remote driver will help..but its costly..

mmm..durban sativa..
Ballast is in the room but it runs cool.. At night when my lights are on the temps are 25c and during the day when the sun hits the roof and the lights are of the temp gets to 34c..im going to have to build a ceiling to block the sun hitting the roof as the heat comes from outside not within the grow or from the equipment

With LEDs 34c isn't that much of an issue. Things still go on.
Why are people swaying me to change my light source? I've chosen hid lights for a reason, they produce the best buds, I've seen some impressive yields from Led but it's not the same as hps.. And my heat problem is not from the light source

#general question. How do you vent your grow room without removing all the dehumidified air and replacing it with humidity ? (for the sake of fresh air not cooling)

Climate control....
High humidity and heat at the same time is a different beast to deal with.

The great AC and ducting and central heating and cooling of american stick houses is quite a bit ahead of what we tend to use over here. It would set you back some fat money.

Most effcient is to run CO2 and AC, in a sealed room, it also allows you to run higher temps, so you can set the AC higher.

Slight curling on some of their leaves, but they standing well against the heat.. For now

Don't skimp on insulating it. at least put some of that roll on pink foam and some silver tesselation stapled over.

Also, remember to reduce your feeding ratios a little if you feel the plants are transpiring a lot.

The overseas guys are way ahead of us on their insulation game on account of freezing their balls off in winter and I think it is part of building codes there to a large extent.

why are you making this thread?

you seem to know it all already..

"hid and ballast in the same room and its not a contributing factor"

don't bother answering this i won't see your post..but all the best

Yea bugger off lol, because I only realized my problem once we went over the possible factors and it wasn't any of them, I did remove the ballast from the room today. But I can't say it helped cause today was a cool day and temps sat at 26c

ANC said "With LEDs 34c isn't that much of an issue.", and he's right. Higher air temperature works with LED due to their lack of IR.
27-29°C air temp is recommended. It's really about leaf temperature.

1w = 3.41 BTU/hour.
1000w HID = 3145 BTU/hour.
Dehumidifiers certainly do give off heat, anything that uses electricity does.

*Im not going to change my light source, I've committed to MH/HPS already
*how can I keep the dehumidifier out the room and still transfer the air into it? I can't put some sort of ducting could I?.. How u guys do it?

How cool is it and what is your rh in your house. I drilled a 4:inch hole 6 ft on my grow room wall and put a dryer hose about 8 ft long on outside hanging to floor so there wouldn’t be direct light leaks in grow room. I unhooked my fan from my hood so it draws cool air from inside the air conditioned house

The house is cool but I don't have exact numbers.. I'm going to make a 6" hole and do something similar after these plants are done
