Taking cuttings from a feminised seed

hi guys how reliable is it to takecuts from a femensied seed must it be a regular to get a strong genetic reliable line to mother who’s future cuts won’t Hermy ?
 
You wont create a genetic line by flowering clones of a mother. You will create genetically identical plants though wich will be the same as the mother in every single way.

The best you can do to avoid hermies is not fuck up andxstress plants, that and grow a few strains and select the one that treats you the best.

Herms are grower error imo, you cant breed it out of the genetics but some strains are less prone and some just love to throw nannas around.

This is what i meant mate, just didn't word it correctly cheers. Is there any advantage to using a regular seeds finding the female and keeping them as mothers over taking a feminised seed and using that as a mother ?

If you just want clones then it probably doesn't matter if you start from feminized or regular seeds. As long as it's a good plant. If you want to make crosses or try your hand at breeding then you're going to want to start with regular seed. Sounds like you just want to make clones from a female plant so you have a steady supply of females. A good female from either regular or feminized seed is going to give you good female clones. So if all you're looking for is a female for clones you can just start with feminized seed.

Now you're just making stuff up. There is no difference at all between a "feminized" seed and the half of "regular" seeds that are female. Whether you want to cut or cross, they are identical.

I'm not making anything up.

Why would you use feminized seed for breeding? Why use genetics that have been modified and manipulated with chemicals to produce female seeds? Why not start with a true female and male? The process of feminizing alters the male/female chromosomes. They are NOT identical.

I make feminized seeds from crosses that I want to share with friends that only want female plants. When I make crosses I start with regular seeds and select the best males and females. I never use feminized seed I made.

Most breeders use regular seeds when starting a project and look for the best males and females. If you know of any legitimate breeders using feminized seeds for their breeding projects please share. I'm not talking about all these pollen chuckers crossing crosses with crosses and claiming to be breeders. I'm talking about breeders that have been doing this for years.

I second your thought.
 
Forcing a plant to hermie puts stress on the plant. I think that affects the genetics of the seeds and it's not natural. You're possibly breeding in the hermie traits. Whether it's unknowingly, as in the plants you feminize easily hermie because of it's weak genetics. Or the stress from hermie'ing the plant weakens the genetics of the seeds. Both making it more prone to hermies.
The chemical method would have the best chance of not carrying over the trait. But who really knows. I just like things natural.

That's not to says you can't unlock some nice genetics this way. I think the biggest factor would be the strength of the original genetics you are feminizing.

A test might be to run feminized seeds and a female from a regular seed from the same mother and stress them. See if they hermie, when they do, which one did first?
