First Grow Flowering Stage Problems

Hello to all! I am currently on day 21 of flowering with two Northern Lights and one Master Kush and have
run into some problems and after exhausting all avenues of research, I decided I needed the community to help!
The Northern Lights, within a day, just started dying off in the middle and lower sections of the plant, kinda sucks
cause I'm losing some bud sites...
The Master Kush has some pistils showing up in the beginning but then literally stopped growing...completely. It's been almost three weeks now and not a single bud so I'm worried about that fella.
I've been using the Biobizz starter pack and since I didn't buy their soil (I just bought indoor plant soil), it's been kinda hard to follow exactly their
schedule. So I've been kind of doing a happy medium.
I'm using a 400W LED too.
More than enough air circulation and a small heater in the tent cause it's cold where I'm growing.
I started to panic about the NLs cause they are going to be my main providers I think so last night I flushed at around 5.8 ¨PH all three plants in the tub with 11L of water, then set them on top of pieces of wood on top of
the drain trays to avoid root rot (thought that might be the kush problem but no smell..)
Any suggestions what else I can do or should I just wait it out and cross my fingers that they'll survive another three weeks or so? I'm running out of ideas, for the moment I've decided to feed them nutes every other watering cause I'm afraid that since I was doing it every time, I overfed and locked out nutes.

Can you elaborate on your feed program and what you're feeding right now? What is in your soil / medium in terms of; what makes it up? Is it predominately coco? 5.8 pH is what one would work with if they were using coco as a medium, but it's much too low if it's something other than coco. Many, many, many moons ago when I was starting out in soil less medium (peat), I had this same sort of thing happen...it was from hammering the plants with nutrients...and yes, I basically killed them. Let us know your details if you can.

Thanks for the quick response! I'm using indoor plants soil, and just soil, no coco or perlite...I tried following the biobizz grow schedule but deviated from it and have basically just been using 2 ml of Biogrow, 1 ml (sometimes 2ml) of Biobloom and 1ml of Topmax since they switched to flowering..and all of those nutrients in 1L of water each everyday two days. yesterday I gave them a good watering (11 L each in the bathtub and let the water drain out, checked the ph of the run-off at 5.8 and didn't add nutrients and decided to hold off on nutrients until they get better but my fear is that this is going to kill them before I can harvest!

How often are you feeding / watering? Sorry, I'm a little confused with what you noted above.

Do you know if that soil you used had any nutrients in it? Do you know what comprises that 'soil'? I would say at this point, if it is indeed soil, then your pH is a little too low...BUT...that's not your main culprit.

Can you provide a picture of the top growth of your plants...what is happening there as compared to what you're showing?

I'm watering the Kush every three days because it doesn't seem to dry out as quickly as the big Northern Lights, which I water every two days at the moment (I do the finger up to the knuckle in the soil test to check). I didn't use ANY nutrients until the 3rd week of Veg so I imagine the soil has nutrients, I'll attach a picture of the bag and of the top of my plants.
As you can see, the Master Kush doesn't have any buds growing, just a few pistils which appeared two weeks ago and the top of one NLs has a leaf which is beginning to claw downwards.
Soil with fertilizer: mixture of sphagnum peat moss and sphagnum peat moss, mixed plant material, green compost, wood fibres, composted manure, dolomite.

I can't read that language (I'm just a simple American), but it does show some NPK values, though I can't interpret them per se.

Are you currently feeding nutrients with every watering?

FYI, the tops of your plants look really nice...a bit stretchy maybe, but still, they look nice and green....I wouldn't expect to look down and see that dying off like you have.

Nitrogen 160 grams per cubic meter & 1 cubic meter equals 35 cubic feet
P2O5 80 grams per cubic meter
I was feeding them at every watering but haven't given nutrients in 4 days....
Yeah I was suprised and dismayed to see that die off too and it's happening pretty quickly
with the Northern Lights.
So any ideas what I could do to correct the situation or do you think I'll be able to make it to harvest?
FYI my tap water is 7.2 ph

water in at a ph of 6.5 for feeding flushing. learn canopy management, what lollipopping is

so your starving them now. add microbes add humic acid to your nutes.

Shitcan your nutes and buy Dakine 420 nutes. Use only those nutes. Watch them grow.

I use biobizz inc all mix soil (recommend you get if can) had lovely results , been using grow,bloom and topmax for last few grows and got bioheaven in the mix this time and root juice for next time.

Watering them way too fucking much imo , need to give them a decent watering and let them dry out quite a bit , so you can feel the lightness in the pot , thats a weird schedule and hard to follow with nutes as well. with about 7 I water them 30L between them all and they go at least a week without watering in 10L standard pots.

I use a 10L can a premix it all then water my girls , works just fine.

Theyre definitely starved of something and / or over watered , theyll tell you when they need a drink , just as they start to get a little droopy , thats fine. I also dont PH my water at all....you dont want those PH acids and alkalis in the soil , that could even be the problem , good soil should be your PH buffer for a grow. (all mix is self regulating for at least one grow cycle)

Hey Cpt Blue max......How many plants do you water with that amount?? I've got three plants going and when I give them nutes, I mix it all in a 1L bottle individually for each plant. I've been doing the knuckle test for dryness and checking for lightness before watering too and water them about every other day.
If they are starved, is it possible it's because of nutrients being locked out? That Master Kush hasn't budged in three weeks!! I wonder if it's scared to go through puberty

7 plants in 10L pots for 30 L from 3x 10L watering cans , they take 2 x 10L for a little while but 3 x 10L basically as soon as they go into flower.

I dont even knuckle test dude sometimes the top soil can get overdry but theres a lot of water still in there , I just test by looking/touching a bit primarily by lifting and feeling the weight. Theyll tell you when they needs a water , little bit of droop is fine they perk up right over night after a good water , helps get co2 and oxygen to the roots as well with a full dry out , watering them that often is a no no. Mine usually got at least a week between waters.

Its really easy with the nutes and a 10L can , 1 cap is 10ml/1ml per litre , really easy to dose and schedule.

I'm asking, not stating, but don't you think feeding at every watering is too much in a soil grow, especially if your soil already carries some nutrients? I run coco and I can see feeding every day, but when I ran soil / organics, that was not the case. Are you pH'ing your water / feed? What's confusing is the nice green growth up top...and the dying branches below. The dying is reminiscent of too much nutrients, but the top of the plant doesn't say the same thing. Perhaps it's a little too much feed and water. Maybe one of the other Organic / Soil members can shed a little more light on this. Sorry I can't be of more help.

So between 4 and 5 ml per liter, which is about 15 to 19 ml per gallon. This seems excessive, especially every 2 days. You probably nute burned her.

So I lollipopped a little, cut off the dead leaves, and the plants haven't regressed in any way since I stopped watering/feeding them so it seems like it was a nutrient and watering overload. Cptbluemax I'm gonna take your advice and water less frequently and feed once a week and zero_OS I think you were right. CannaCountry, your story seems to ring true with the whole peat moss and death by nutrients disaster! It seems to make sense.
And the good news is the Master Kush looks like it's budding out in certain places! So I'll probably harvest the NL in a few weeks once the buds get nice and thick and juicy and leave the Kush do it's thing cause it looks like it's gonna take a little longer.
I'll post a final pic once I get there, hopefully no more problems but thanks everyone for the rapid response and all around good advice. First grow is always a learning process but I got more to learn, next time I really want to SCROG two plants cause it's difficult with three in the space I got. Thanks a bunch y'all and updates soon!
