Need more light, but how should I do it?

Leds kick hps ass.

One plant blueberry sunset. 5gal dirt. Pulled 6.6 zips. Other plant the big cola. 2gal pot pull 5.6 zips. Two plants total. 12.2 zips total under 275 watts of Samsung strips. With no training. Both plants were left to grow out naturally. I can hit over 2 grams per watt. No problem. Those leds you have are door stoppers.

Samsung F562b strips. 10 of them. Super efficient uses literally change per day. In 2x4 tent.

Edit: If you go by one tent full harvest that was jus 2 plants. There was 2 other plants. Under the same lighting jus a different tent. Different strains. Was pulling like 284 watts. Jus bc that's were I turned the pot. Both were in 2gal pots. Less yielding strains. But still got 8.1 zips off of them.

@Jimdamick yes the upfront cost is higher off the bat. But they pay for themselves in a single harvest. And the money you save not running A.C. to keep hid cool. Plus the extra wattage. It's a no brainer. Pull less watta use less electric increase yield. And save money. And grow better more dank bud. The QBs and strips and newer led tech is the bees knees mab. No lie.

Ok, so my first crop is just about done. It went way better than I thought it would, but as I was expecting, I didnt have enough light for the yields I wanted. I've made some really nice looking buds, they're just kind of small.

So here's my current setup. This was what I could afford when I started and all the breaker space I had for lights. I've fixed the breaker space issue and looking to expand a bit.

16x 304+ 561C boards with 660nm rows.
Each board pulls 120w at max of 1200ma
They have 110v inputs like the hlg 304 boards but have a slightly lower max because of the reds. 220v driver inputs are not an option for me.

4x HLG-320-C2800B drivers with 4 boards in parallel on each one.
This drives the boards at 700ma or around 60% each.
Drivers are pulling ~315w each for under 1300w total in a 10x10 I keep them about a foot from my plants currently.

Here are my thoughts.
I'd I take 1 board off of each set and that would push the remaining 3 at 930ma or around 80% max
I can take the other 4 boards and put them all on a 480-C3500 to drive them at 76% max or 2x 240H-C2100 and I'd be able to hit 90% max on the 4.

Eventually I plan to reconfigure it all with drivers that better suit the max current. From what I've found, there arent any ideal drivers for the 1200ma max draw. Maybe someone will clue me in on something I'm missing that's better?
It's looking like my best option would be to run 8 of the 240-C2100 drivers to push them up to 90% each

My goal is to keep the plants in rows under the lights with walking space between each row. That's why I have 4 "tracks". I can move the boards around as needed to fine tune things. It's worked great for this grow spread wise, just not strong enough. With walkways, I have at least 30sqft that doesnt need light.

I am also looking at the possibility of adding some of the Samsung strips along the edges of my tracks or between panels. I think that will help me fill in my light needs without changing too much of what I have going on.

an issue im seeing is that these "slate" heatsinks sold by other companies are 310mm and 340mm wide.
The ones I got are 326mm and my tracks are built for those without much room. I MIGHT be able to squeeze the 340mm ones in there without making the rail bow out enough to drop the other ones as there is some room in there, but the 310s would be to small. my rails are only 1/4" and 16mm is .629"
As long as the boards are gonna still fit, it's possible they could possibly trim these slate sinks down to your desired width? I know when I ordered all of my heat sinks I had them custom drill holes for the COB holders I was using and also flatten the sides AND drill into them for mounting into rails.

You could always have sinks custom made too, from Renxin. They were good to work with.

There are many, many former HID growers here who will tell you that the quality of their bud improved after they switched to LED. No offense, but you're running cheap Chinese blurples, which are not at all the same as running good COBs, or strips/boards with quality mid-power diodes from Samsung or Bridgelux. This is a different ball game entirely.
After seeing what the Spydr X does I would never use street lamps again! I know I over payed for the fixture but it seems to kick ass. I will build the next one though.

Yea, they ain't cutting edge tech, but at the time they were decent.
I still have the same issues (height/temp) as before in those areas that I use the LED, and am thinking about upgrading to a more efficient system.
I spent a lot on the present system, but I know it would be better with newer lights.
For a 6'x6' area, how much do you think would it cost to light it effectively using new LED's?
ready made out the door Spydr X plus about 1600 US and guys love em, lots of great reviews. That said I'm pretty sure you could build them for cheaper Oh and that delivers 100 percent coverage but only 4x4 so you may need a different option for the extra 2 feet. But I'd rather rock 4x4 than wuss 6x6
