No. There is a clear line between the 2 parties. There maybe faults with both of them but fundamentally the Dems have always fought for the poor and the GOP only fights for the rich. Spin it how you want, but there is a clear winner when it comes to "fair" policy making or "balanced" policy making.

And people, the republicans didn't embrace Trump. He stole their party and laughed all the while. The traditional party did not embrace him, but were forced to deal with him after his racist rhetoric drummed up a presidential win. They realized how ignorant their base was and couldn't come out condemning trump now that it was apparent he had the ear of the mob. It was too difficult to face a political battle with an idiot and so the gutless GOP caved under the opportunity and now reluctantly caters to the mob. The traditional GOP knew they had the racist following but didn't use it and embrace that group like trump and he stole the face of their party. The GOP has been in trouble ever since Bush Jr though so it didn't take much to control the circus, the animals had been loose for awhile...

I think you are a bit too kind about Republicans, their chosen leader and its racist base. The party has used dog-whistles and racist policies to attract the southern white vote and racist leaning white men since the days of Nixon and especially Reagan. Almost all Democrats have repeatedly voted for increased military spending and record 'Defense' budget increases.
