A little help please

Howdy all,
Been away from the game for a little while but wanting to get my little tent powered up again and hoping for suggestions.
I currently use an old Platinum P300 LED which has done me well in the past but I would like to add more light.
My tent is 600x600x1.5m.
I've been keen to get a Cree or Vero cob (single cob) to go with the P300 but I'm super confused about what cob and components to get. I've also seen a huge increase in quantum boards but again, have very little idea what parts or things I need. I like things simple so hoping you guys can suggest something for me. I'm really only after an extra 100w (at the wall) worth of light but would love the option of adding more if they work well (do I get a bigger driver now etc?

Sorry for the essay, any help you guys can give would be very much appreciated!

Instead of trying to supplement your pos 15yr old technology using fixture, focus on just replacing all your lighting with better tech LED. You're spot on with the boards. They're what you need to use if you want simplicity. They couldn't be easier to write up. If you're just running a small area, just buy some boards inside the USA and get going.

I'll suggest AtreumLighting.

Comes down to cash mate, the p300 still grows buds, I just want to add a little more to the setup to help things along.
Thanks for the info man, I'm in Aust so will check out cutter and see what he has too. Are boards really that simple to wire up? Like a driver and a board and that's it? Will be checking them out further for sure!

Yes boards are that easy to wire and set up. Cutter ( @welight ) is your best friend for sure being down under. Their new sol skin strips are what you need to focus on and buy then.

Adding 100w of good LED to a 180w platinum would be too much in a 60x60. 30 watts/foot gets it done with the good strips/boards.

Maybe add four 10w screw in LEDs.
Better yet, a couple strips (with some reds) along each side.
Or get 120 watts of Atreum or Quantum Board, no need for the 180 watt, p300.

You're across the pond. Check out cutter man. Keep using your p300. Grab some 9 dollar j series cree strips from him. With sinks and a driver. And you get almost 200lm/w. Or even you really tryna stay low on the cash end. Grab some EB series strips for now through cutter.

I'm assuming that's 60cm x 60cm so 2ft x 2ft roughly. Right?

Ah good shit dude, glad to hear you are getting back there too!

Thanks bro! I popped some of my Berry Lights Og, Blue shiva x Blueberry, Suzy Q, Nightcap and NLxBB. Won't grow them all out but we'll see what tickles the fancy come flower time :)
