Real deal Trainwreck??

Well it's been a long time since I started a new thread :). I'm hoping you guys can lead me in the right direction and reduce my leg work.

I've got a buddy that is from Oregon and is dieing for some real trainwreck.

Personally I've never had it so I don't really know what I'm looking for. And he... Well let's say he isn't good at describing what he's looking for.

I know cannaventure is doing some crosses with Arcata trainwreck, a clone only he got from Jaws. You can email Rusty at cannaventure he can probably give you some good info on it. Or maybe ask Jaws on IG?

Your best bet is finding someone with legit cut and make a trade if possible.

A legit cut would for sure be my choice route. Finding cuts underground is still tough :). So unless I manage to stumble across that I assumed I'd have to try to find the closest to real thing in seed form. I'm open to ideas about legit cuts though.

Jaws has some crosses with it. I would say hes your best shot at it right now.
Thanks for the input guys! I've been out of "the scene" growing underground for the last few years. Is Jaws a person or company?

I haven't hardly looked at new genetics in a minute. Seems like there are just soooo many new "crosses" or chucks or whatever they actually are.

That's another reason I'd love to find a real cut. It will be tough to pheno hunt seed plants when I don't know the what real train wreck actually should be....

I think it is Jaws genetics but dude goes by Jaws too. He used to be here on the forum quite a bit back in the day but now you can find him on instagram. He used to sell beans through dcseedexchange but no longer so I'm not sure where to buy his beans besides IG.

Cannaventure has the same exact train wreck and he has some nice crosses with it, check out the cannaventure thread.

trainwreck is highly over rated.
That is subjective though. I really enjoyed the train wrecks Ive smoked and I loved the ghost train haze, not really train wreck but real similar to one of the train wrecks I've smoked.

The train wreck I smoke I bought from a medi shop in Oakland back in mid 2000s and the gth I smoked recently in a preroll here in Oregon.

Oregoneliteseeds and greatlakegenetics are the only two places to get them anymore. glg has a few left and oes has quite a bit but has some baggage with them.

I'd contact Rusty just to see what he say if you asked for just TW, see what he says. I see HSO has some, not sure of that one. I know when I was in OR, it was like shishka and blackberry and blueberry, absolutely everywhere. And seemed to be from worn out moms. But Rusty might surprise ya. jmho

Who's rusty? Sorry if that's a dumb question. I've always been underground so I can't say I've made as many friends or met many people over the years as I could have.

he's the owner of Cannaventure seeds and they got a website, you can email or you can even call if you like. I was under the impression he was gonna release some TW, but he also said at the f5, they hadn't gotten all the kinks worked out. I suspect thats why he's not released any pure, just crosses.

trainwreck is peppery harsh flavor, similar to white widow. hard to improve upon a strain using them in the scross. it brings potency not flavor to the cross

i ran the blackberry trainwreck from cannaventure twice two different occasions, two full packs. interesting but stretchy. i bought a second pack because i had good results first time. ran for a year or so, ended up not making the cut

I ran white widow for 4 years. It was neither peppery or harsh. Rather fruity with a specific taste I can only describe as white widow. I believe this was an accurate pheno for the strain too since I had been given WW by a dealer at one point that tastes identical to what I grew.

I actually ran the G13 labs version. It seems to hit all the markers.

I've read the various origin stories before. I wonder which is true.
